For Sale

Client emailed me a DBH design and said, we want a similar design. I didn’t want to copy, so I used the same elements, and then made it more Afflictiony like all the other crap I’m doing for them. Today they write back, in nice words essentially saying... COPY. I hate doing work like this so I’m bumping my prices to $800-$1200, and see if they run away screaming... which is the desired effect. If they don’t, I’ll crap my pants. I hate client work.

So this is for sale. Make an offer.

    ha. its still worth at least couple hundred bucks. and a half dozen donuts.

    and yes, i will be letting them know about my distaste for copying and raising prices especially when i have the ability to create new and exciting imagery that their limited imagination cant even fathom. but in doing so, i will probably lose them as a client.... which is fine. i believe i can make money elsewhere, they need me more than i need them. i actually dont need them at all.

    hahaha. yes. i just sent them an email that said, i dont wanna. also said if they want my style, to help them define a trend, then $XXXX, so there goes that steady source of income.

    yeah, i’m sure there could have been a middle point reached if what you turned in was up to par with average jimiyo work. i would most definitely never copy but i’m just saying. shitty situation

    true about middle point. they gave me a price range. their price isnt on par with typical jimiyo quality/detail.

    This type of stuff happens to much. No wonder why some designs are over done. I always tell clients I can offer them the concept they are looking for in my style. However, I will not try to copy other styles. I had a design firm do this to me recently, saying they like my work but can I do work like such and such.
    On another note. The design came out really nice. lol
