Right, this is the "upgraded" of my skull design.
Two different version, with different headgear.
Which one do you like more?

I never wear skull tees I would wear the right one, concept wise. But that type of hat would be so fun to draw and it looks like you half assed it. I don't eeven think you need a background, just push the illustration. It doesn't have to be super complex/technical, just throw some more detail in there even if it's simple - play with the fuzzy on the hat and maybe some shadows in the skull. Some thicker lines would definitely help and play with some different colors maybe
But yeah good start, I'd like to see how far you can take it
the one on the left is better. the one on the right reminds me of the movie Loser and that horrible horrible actor that played said Loser. Die, that guy, Die.
Yep I agree with Jayna. I really like the concept a lot (and those type of hats). I would just take some more time to work out the details of the hat especially because that's what separates it from the rest of the skulls on Emptees.
The hat needs more fuzz like this for example:
Doesn't have to be AS detailed but you get the idea.
