I have been wanting to do a peace design with my company for a while but never knew how to execute it.
After seeing a lot of watercolor and awesome illustrations, I figured Id try something totally out of my normal style.
PLEASE feel free to recommend other color variations.
Also--I do not know too much about color processing, so how would I go about printing this?
*EDIT-- THIS IS MY FIRST EVER HAND-DRAWN ILLUSTRATION. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

man for a second I thought this was done by an morbid (draws dying bunnies) asian girl in my art class, who is also obessed with drawing controvsial peace/love signs with hands lol. this is one of here pieces:

I dig it! But I can promise you I am not asian, nor a female:)
Think so? If I knew more about printing processes, I would know how to design this so it works smoothly.

What is "L O V W"? The "e" looks like a sideways "w". Tell that girl in your class that she spelled "love" wrong. This is what an "e" looks like...
Tender Branson said 3 months ago
I don't think they were doing sign language. Probably copying the very bottom of this picture.
Randi said 3 months ago
Good call. To me, if you're going to use 3 correct signs, why not just make it totally accurate and use the correct "e". It kind of like when people spell a word in uppercase letters and leave just one in lowercase. It eerrrkkks me! YOU KnOW WhAT I MeaN?

I love how anything I put up gets hijacked!
But if we are going to talk about this-- Id say the person who was doing the signs was not doing it to be correct in terms of sign language, but rather physically form the letters with their hands.
If you were to put the "E" symbol on the design and the compare the two, Im pretty sure most people would recognize the letter formation easier than the actual signs.

Just wondering, but what is controversial about this one?
Randi said 3 months ago
Sorry for contributing to the hijack....anyway, I like the one on white : ) Love.

i am not a fan of peace signs and/or hippies, but this is a nice illustration.
i could see a lot of people (most of them hippies) wanting to buy this.
Matt Rupp said 2 months ago
The only hippies that exist these days are our parents.
The peace sign is the most recognized symbol throughout the entire world. Yes, its super trendy and Im sure a lot of kid will eat it up but I actually support peace which is why I did this.
Thank you for the compliment though! I have never done linework before this so its something totally new.

I wish I would've put mine on a vneck
I like how this is your first hand-drawn illustration, that is to say, a hand drawing, as in a picture of a hand which was drawn by a hand.
Matt Rupp said about 1 month ago
Yeah dude the peace sign shirt has been done tons and tons of times. Its just being a little bit more creative than the last that makes it!
I had a lot of people ask me if I could print this on a Vneck so Im definitely going to give that option when for sale.
Hahaha yes it is my frist hand-drawn hand drawing.
