I love it! The only thing I don't love is that the fins have smoother borders than most of the fish. Also, do you have a detail picture? It's a little hard to tell what the fisherman looks like. He seems to be wearing an odd hat for fishing, though.
was the dude in the boat originally holding a gun- is that a deer stalker on his head?
my only problem with this is that its not big enough- something this ace should be bigger- so much so that I would want to put on weight so I can get a bigger tee with a bigger print!!!
godmachine:
not really, he is suppose to dress like an old time hunter. I am changing the hat right now. Maybe it will improve the whole image of the guy in the boat.
not really trying to bust your chops, but if you read hemingway's description of santiago, you'd know he looked nothing like that.
He should be poor, and all messy. I believe?
'The old man was thin and gaunt with deep wrinkles in the back of his neck. The brown blotches of the benevolent skin cancer the sun brings from its reflection on the tropic sea were on his cheeks. The blotches ran well down the sides of his face and his hands had the deep-creased scars from handling heavy fish on the cords...
Everything about him was old except his eyes and they were the same colours as the sea and were cheerful and undefeated.' (5)
'His straw hat was far on the back of his head and he sank down into the bow with the pull of the line as he felt the fish turn.' (31)

I only have one suggestion. Tone down the awesome, it's overpowering the shirt.

yeah, change the fisherman, typically you dont catch too many sword fish fly fishing, which you dont even do on a boat.
other than that its rad

derekdeal: I also dont believe it is possible, but i go by the book ;)

Can I buy a poster of this too? I always thought that book was to long, way to squeeze it into one amazing illustration. Where is the buy now button.
