Impending Doom - Buried Alive tee shirt design by sittingduck - Josh Stomberg

So this is my second shot at an exclusive INRI design for christian death metal band "Impending Doom". they wanted to have a crazier typeface for the band, and they wanted it to be much darker than the other one. I'm including detail shots in the comments. I was supposed to include the lyrics "Are you listening?" in the design, so I stuck a newspaper to the menacing guy's leg that reads that as the headline, I've included a zoomed in shot so everyone could see how it looks :D

*EDIT* added more detail to the edges of the grave and added a third color so the moon could have a bit more detail. The band loved the text I included with this one, so it stays. let me know what you think! previous versions and full detail of this version are located in the comments.

you're a machine man! i love the way you just keep pushing yourself. it's awesome. i dig this but i'd like to see some grunge textures and crackles to add effect. especially on the white areas..the background white behind the guy seems too rigid for me. maybe another shape? it took me a while to get that it's a view from the grave.

plus if you look closely on the right side, it suddenly looks like a sideview silhouette of a person's head in a weird way lol. i'd love to see how this develops.

it's supposed to be the moon in the background ... I was definitely going for a frank miller type of scene.

i agree that it needs a little texture? Why not ad some detail to the moon? Moon-Detail lol

Moon detail might help, or perhaps apply the lyrics within the white space of the moon? This sub looks more like what this band would be going for compared to your last one. Lookin good so far!

I'd rough up the left and right sides of the grave - it's kind of hard to see what it is at first. It'd be a little bit easier if you had some dirty edges on the left and right sides.

I like the second to last one that you posted. This is a really cool idea, but it could use more detail. Maybe you should distress it a bit or add some clouds/moon in the sky behind the guy?

i was thinking more round crater like detail on the moon so you can tell it's the moon, looking better though

I tried that, it really took away from the silhouettes ...

Yeah, this is getting better - the blood on the hands is a big improvement. I didn't think that would make that much of a difference.
