This was just one of those straight-outta-the-head designs. One morning there I was, brushing my teeth and blinking a stubbon contact into submission when suddenly WHAMMO: Zebra. Barcode. Bamboo. Do zebras even cohabitate with bamboo? Doubt it. Do the markings of a zebra, in turn, possess any relation to the stripes on a barcode? Visually, well sure, but functionally? Well, maybe, but that’s only according to some hippologists who beleive that zebras use these markings to recognize one another. (Much as a scanner uses barcodes to differentiate between products) Another theory is that the stripes serve as camoflauge, protecting against predators such as lions who are colorblind and unable to distinguish between a zebra’s black and white markings and tall blades of grass.

But! This design does make up for its lack of depth with its cryptological message, burried deep in the soil beneath a rich fauna of numeric symbols. Mm! Fauna. No, but seriously, those numbers do actually have some significance, and it isn’t that hard to figure out. I mean, you shouldn’t have to like hijack a U-boat or anything. (A cellphone helps)

It's a cool idea and I'm sure someone else is going to design something similar and think they were the first. Then they'll be super happy about this amazing idea until their peers tell them it's been done before. It is inevitable.

Yup, I saw that tee before, but about a year after I released mine (mine came out in November '06), not sure when your's was...

But either way, I think we can all agree it isn't a difficult idea to come up with. Only have 5 or so shirts left of this design anyways, so it won't be an issue for much longer.
