Unkempt - Enter The Precipice image

This is a shirt i just did for some friend’s band in central fla. I also did the album artwork, which features the same creature and scene. the album is called ‘enter the precipice’. I could go into symbolism of the imagery, lyrical tie-ins and all that crap, but basically i just wanted to draw something gnarly and thrashy.

This is how id love it to be represented, but ultimately it will probably get stripped down to 3 colors at the most :(

    although i know its supposed to be a volcano and such, it looks like poop to me, a poop monster

    ha, im not totally against it being a poop volcano, but maybe a color tweak is in order.

    thats what you meant right, or were you just saying the illo looks like shit.

    I think the mountain is too “lumpy” and thats what makes it look like turd mountain… imo if u make it more jagged and rock-like you’ll regain the volcano

    thanks for the suggestion, but i really dont have any issues with the lines. ez was refering to the original color of the volcano which was an orange-ish tan.

    at this point, any connection with the design to feces isnt really coming from a fresh perspective. Im sure to another audience it wouldnt come off that way.
