To me, being a geek isn't about horn-rimmed glasses and pocket protectors, it's about creativity, vision, and being willing to immerse yourself in complex studies like mathematics and engineering to achieve your innovative concepts. Going out with friends, playing video games, and sports are great pastimes, but they don't get rockets built. My own personal geek-dom showed itself during the course of this design in a number of ways, including the fact that the open book is Newton's "Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica" in the original Latin (a book that helped spark the scientific revolution), and the film reel is based on the actual reel from the moon landing.
