It really depends on the client – I will probably be printing these, so I’ll end up doing the color seps anyway.
Generally, if you do the color seps for 4 color process, you should charge more. The client will have to pay their printer to do it, and usually the printer charges a lot more.

Jimmy, I love the concept and composition of the type but it seems like the strokes in the letter forms could be cleaner. It’s like there’s no variation in the weight of the lines. They don’t look as flowy as the huge light lines going in and out of the type. But maybe you did that for contrast between those two elements?
Sprint was probably inspired by lichtfaktor. video & photos . They do some pretty crazy stuff with light.
