The new Resources section has a lot of potential to be a very valuable part of the Emptees community, but we all need to help maintain it’s integrity by following some basic DO’s and DON’Ts.
Articles
- DO post tutorials showing people how to do something they may not know.
- DO post interviews of other artists or people in the industry.
- DO post "how to" videos and screencasts.
- DO have people review your content for quality, clarity, and errors.
- DO use the Talk section to find out what content people want to see.
- DON’T just post links to articles on other websites.
- DON’T use it as a banner ad.
Downloads
- DO post quality templates, logos, vector packs, and other useful files.
- DON’T post files you either didn’t create or don’t have rights to distribute.
Links
- DO post links to websites and businesses that designers could benefit from.
- DON’T post links to your personal portfolio, MySpace page, etc.
General
- DO use good names, descriptions, and tags to help people find your content.
- DO search for duplicate content before submitting yours.
- DO have people review your content for clarity, errors, and quality.
- DON’T post obscene or inappropriate content.
- DON’T USE ALL CAPS OR EXCESSIVE PUNCTUATION!!!!.
If you submit content that doesn’t follow these guidelines, it will be modified or removed. If you can think of anything to add to these lists, use the Contact link in the footer.
