So I know of a few threads that must have been deleted because they were contraversial. I was emotionally invested in those threads and went to bed last night and didnt get to check it until tonight and theyre gone. I really wanted to see where it ended up.
Now, why are those threads being deleted? Because there is too much name calling and all that bullshit going on?
I honestly feel they shouldnt be deleted but rather "locked" because they still have some GREAT insight that people take time to post.
People usually offer great advice, or counter points and other perspectives on the controversial subject. If its deleted, its not there for others to reference.
If a post is deleted because the person wanted to try to save some face and not look like an idiot, well, that person should learn the unwritten rules of posting on a public forum.
I just dont think threads should be deleted unless theyre spam.
Just my thoughts.

yeah, i was waiting for a response on the thread from yesterday.
@emptees: at LEAST have the email notifications read the replies in the actual email (like facebook)
njonas said 10 months ago
totally agree on this.
collisiontheory said 10 months ago
I was so looking forward to it but was disappointed to find out it was deleted. Just when things got interesting.
derekdeal said 10 months ago
i agree, i was pretty disappointed when the fbr thread got deleted, that particular thread had a lot of great contributions. I really dont like the idea that anyone can just delete history like that, especially when so many others become invested in the conversation.

I missed the others with the heated debates on before :(
Cos im in the uk im in bed wen it all goes on

Yeah no kidding man. Seriously when people get honest and speak their mind, I dont think that a forum admin should come along and delete the thread.
I wish there was a way to get those back. Those kinds of threads are good because it actually opens up a dialog about a serious subject. Not to mention theyre entertaining.
thebutcher said 10 months ago
I went to bed stoked to see what was burning this morning. Totally killed my morning wood.
collisiontheory said 10 months ago
I dont think it was the admin that deleted it. I remember the dude who started it deleted it himself. And then he did start another thread saying he deleted the previous one but then that thread seems gone too.
jimmyheartcore said 10 months ago
That FBR thread was deleted by the author. He spoke with FBR and decided that it was the best decision to delete it.
As for the Illustration hate thread... EZs rant thread was deleted by him. And trust me, I wanted everyone to read the last thing I posted.
Oh well.
hideouscarwreck said 10 months ago
fill us in?
kyleisez said 10 months ago
I deleted the thread and jimmy deleted teh kronic dudes thread. I wasnt even going to waste my time with that kronic kid period. Ive done 2 jason shirts, 5 werewolf shirts and 3 frankenstein shirts in my whole 2.5 year career. He would have had a better chance if he said zombie. Now as far as the other thread is concerned, I posted this in the emptees tshirt thread
people mis-read my rant and some took it personally i tried to steer clear of that, I just thought the fact that it seems as if it isnt drawn, or illustrated then you have no chance here because thats all people seem to like or love around here and not everyone is capable of that and it puts a lot of people out of the running and I want to see other people win then the usual illustators and its frustrating to not see something photo based not win.
Jimmy who knows me personally years ago, kinda stepped in and made it seem like I was doing something out of selfish reasons. Both of us are insomniacs and had a discussion this morning. He was mad I deleted it btut the fact remains this.
Everyone besides the people who obviously knew who it was directed to agreed. Those who are friends to the ones I referred also jumped on the others side but then took it personal, comments like "You couldnt design better than such and such if your life depended on it" and retarded shit like that...
it became personal to the point to where, I guess it lost the point. We can point fingers all you want and I can name names if its going to get the gossip lovers gears going and tempers fired up. I have nothing to hide nor do I upset anyone.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
what you said was right UNTIL you got to your interpretation of why I felt as such. You stated reason to my personality you knew years ago. I was going to get personal, you would have and then it would have turned into a jimmy/kyle heartcore 2005 reunion and thats a road I didnt want to go down
jfinley said 10 months ago
Oh ok good point, at least you cleared up some confusion! Maybe one cool idea is to keep the thread title in tact but when someone clicks on it, it says "thread was deleted by original poster" so that people dont just think it disappeared. Especially after they are waiting for a reply to a comment they posted.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
depending on the situation yes. all your fans got pissy and people just wanted to see a fight, it was like a group of kids getting into a circle to cheer and instigate, no thanks
ryanmiller said 10 months ago
people didnt only get pissy because theyre fans of jeff brotha. i know jeff wasnt the only one to take what you said personal; i know i did.
jimmyheartcore said 10 months ago
What I said was something along the lines of this [not exact, but it was deleted... so]:
The designers who are getting tee of the day for their illustrations are well deserved. They work hard, spend hours of their day creating and illustrating amazing designs and have a considerably advanced amount of talent compared to others who are manipulating photos in their designs. The key concept is creation vs. manipulation.
Instead of bitching about how these people are getting tee of the day on a regular basis, strive to improve. Make something worth talking about. Make something remarkable. Instead of knocking down a general style of design, or a designer who is doing something that is popular and well-liked say something uplifting. Give praise where praise is due. Dont get pissy just because they are doing well on this site. They deserve it, theyve worked hard for a long time to make stuff that people love.
Dont segregate this community. We all give each other advice. We all help each other when its needed. We love each others designs and we give each other shit when one of their designs isnt up to par. We appreciate criticism. We dont appreciate bitching and bashing because someone is successful.
I am the one telling you how the fuck it is.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
I like how you have to slam your 1 liner in there but the only reason why I even said that was because you made it personal with a few wha wha whas and a few you say this and this because you say and think such and such thus causing me to say who the fuck are you? because you in fact dont know my motives
jimmyheartcore said 10 months ago
Heres what I said:
Thats why you should have just left the fucking thread up.
That was in response to your 6 paragraph bitchy rant about how "illustrators keep getting all the tee of the days" and how its "the same people over and over".
kyleisez said 10 months ago
well since youd like to know You were 1 of the few i was kinda meh about, granted your shirt is good. It just makes me mad when I have an amazing respect for Glamour Kills and when I look at it its a GK driven design, to me that could have been GKs money... stupid? Yes, but again its my opinion.
GK has a look and style its what they get paid 28 or whatever amount of dollars they charge, if some dude who makes a shirt for such and such band and it sells for 15 bucks. why spend 28 when you can spend 15 for the same thing. I guess its kind of the reason why companies like GK and rockett do collabs, so people can get the 2 best things they love in 1 shot.
I respect your work and you as an artist. I dont think your shirt sucks or that its a piece of shit, I infact enjoy it, but I wont give it the "love" because it reminds me too much of someone else.
ryanmiller said 10 months ago
thanks man.. but ive been doing what i do before i even knew about glamour kills; possibly before they were even a company. my shits always been hand drawn and sketchy looking, ever since i started designing while i was in high school. they didnt invent that look.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
thats how I feel about some of my drawn stuff, I was doing stuff like horse bites before I knew who he was, but I wont post it on here because I want to look at my work and think kyle crawford, not horse bites

Your last line was in bold, and angry. Then EZ got 'hoffed'. Then the thread disappeared. That was pretty much it.
jimmyheartcore said 10 months ago
It amazes me that you say anything about anyone copying someone elses style.
Heres the reason:
A good amount of your stuff is a direct rip from movies, magazines, other designs, and other peoples work. You just take it and rearrange it and call it yours.
What youre doing is complaining about people who are creating and illustrating things from scratch, while you sit at your computer looking for images, flipping through magazines, and finding video captures of movies of things you can rip off. Its very audacious of you.
When someone says "Who the fuck are you", then contradicts themself - I think that gives me plenty of reason to give 'em a shot back.
jfinley said 10 months ago
For the record, I never took anything personally. I will listen to EZs opinion just like anyone else. I didnt think he was singling me out simply because he said illustration, watercolors, and skulls. I mean, Im not the only one who has done such a thing.
I dont take it to heart because Im always working to improve my technique or try new things. I wasnt offended by his comments at all.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
stuff for myself, not for bands. we can also play the who owns what game if youd like. Everyones images for shirts came from somewhere in which they do not own, some of us are lucky enough to work with professional photographers who supply us imagery...
a direct rip would be the I love EZ jason takes manhattan shirt I have yet to print, thats RIPPING off. using images from sources other than my own I do not consider "ripping"
Oliver said 10 months ago
I second the locked idea. There were valid points brought up in those deleted threads that could be beneficial to other people.
Oh and Im doing another illustrated tee that will probably irritate the hell out of EZ.
And Im not even trying to rhyme that shit.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
if you knew past scuffles you would understand. It was more of a know when to quit situation
jimmyheartcore said 10 months ago
Haha - dude youre awesome.
heavyprints said 10 months ago
I wasnt putting my opinion in on that matter. People were saying they were disappointed to not see the outcome and thats pretty much what happened. You posted that..A few minutes later EZ posted that he got 'hoffed'..and then the thread was gone.
It wasnt my opinion of your actions.

Jeez, Im a tard.

will you give up already? no one is interested in what you have to say.
andrE w. said 10 months ago
ugh thats so annoying, we get he printed a jason mask, thats looks pretty fuckin sweet if you ask me, get over it now?
kyleisez said 10 months ago
Yes and the only rips have 98% been for myself. A rip would be to blatantly copy. I could list all the examples if it makes you feel better.
heavyprints said 10 months ago
lol! Its cool. I just pointed that out cuz I read it and it was in bold. Then shortly I saw a post by EZ and I was like WOO Fight on teh Internets! But then it was gone.

Its amusing.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
I dont get it?
newcastle7 said 10 months ago
I adore how you say you werent gonna waste your time with the kronic kid bit..... then you go ahead and attempt to qualify your time and designs by throwing random digits up there, when you can clearly go to your site and have any 2nd grader count the correct number of designs... grow up kid
jfinley said 10 months ago
It is more fun I agree, but someones gotta stand up for what they believe in!
ihearithurts said 10 months ago
Everybody needs to relax. These types of arguments never go anywhere and they ruin peoples experience here, which is meant to be a constructive and empowering one.

People have been drawing since caveman days. So surely everybodys work will look like someone elses. The same goes for music, comedy, dance, etc. The point is to be happy with what you do, be open to constructive criticism, and be resistant to negativity. You cant please everyone and everyone wont please you.
And ultimately, if it sells youre doing something right. :)
sittingduck said 10 months ago

K, so.. Is EZ officially finished with Emptees now? If so:
A. That sucks cuz I was looking forward to seeing his illustration style thats alot like horsebites.
and
B. Whos hosting the Tee-Off?
kyleisez said 10 months ago
ill leave the thread open and someone else can step up, have fun guys
faithbydesign said 10 months ago
Dude, some of us really enjoy your work, and even though youre in a pissing contest with a few people in here I really dont understand why youre leaving. Your whole point was that you were tired of the same people getting tee of the day and that some of the new comers werent getting ANY recognition. You did a really good job of letting some of the newer designers know exactly what they were doing wrong AND giving them tips on how to improve.
No offense to sittingduck but if it wasnt for his desire to impress you and get you to approve of his shirt for your line I dont think he would have learned as much or grown as much as he has now (or at least as quickly).
I really think walking away is denying emptees of another solid designer in the industry giving insight and solid tips to improve and help people grow.
kyleisez said 10 months ago
ill still be here for advice and input and whatnot im just not going to artistically be involved, thats what my website is for... ive said it myself what other people say and think dont reflect or effect the work i get do and will continue to do, so ive elminated myself from that part of this site
ThinkBaker said 10 months ago
EZ... You and JFinn should both judge the TEE off contest!
BRILLIANT! ; )
faithbydesign said 10 months ago
Ok understood. But i feel the more solid designers (including your name) helps to the draw and appeal of this site. I.E. "{Did you hear about this site? Dobi posts there,Electric Zombie posts there, gomedia posts there, GK Posts There, Heartcore." People here get to see a lot of their favorite artists work along theirs. That doesnt really happen anywhere else. I know for sure youre not gonna showcase up and coming artists on your site that love your work.

Maybe its a good place to ask:
How can i delet my t-shirts?
not all but some...
Thanks guys!
[Edit: Dude, please mind the topic of the post. This is not the place for that. Theres a reason why we categorize everything! -- Jimmy]
edit tee>delete tee, at the very bottom
