And some scientists that proved dinosaurs didnt exist. and some scientists that say the earth is only 6000 years old.

You often get 'facts' by 'scientists' on both sides of the debate. You would be better off spending your time and more important is the question:

 Why YOU believe one side and not the other? Why do you choose to accept these 'facts' and not those 'facts'? Are your 'gut feelings' on something enough for you (and us) to decide what is 'real' and what isnt?&lt;/blockquote&gt;

i dont typically subscribe to conspiracy theories as fact. They are fun to think about but at the end of the day i just feel like something as monumental as a moon landing hoax had to involve anywhere between a handful to hundreds of people. I cant fathom everyone involved swallowing that secret for 50 years and no one cracking. Im not saying cover ups dont exist but we're basically talking about a disillusionment of the entire human race in one fell swoop.</body>

tell that to Michael Tsarion. this guy is a certified loon who strings together half-truths and questionable research as fact. it's interesting to listen to but I have a hard time accepting something as fact from a guy who likes to throw out movie quotes/references and tie them to his flimsy theories. same with David Iche and his lizard people fantasies.</body>

I understand the benefits to a hoax. I just havent heard any arguments that havent been explained or refuted to a degree that would keep me in disbelief. Im still open minded though which is why i was interested in the original thread.

The waving flag idea I think is completely plausible though. There is no atmosphere or wind on the moon, and even if it were waving while he was planting the flag because of the movement he caused, it wouldn't make it stand at attention like that.

      <body>I missed a moon landing hoax debate?! Dammit!

I've read everything from the moon landing was a hoax to, not only did we land on the moon, but we found evidence of an ancient solar-system wide civilization on the moon (large glass domes, spires, etc).

What you find in any conspiracy theory are series of jumps in logic. An interpretation of one fact, which may have only a small chance of being correct, leads to another guess, which leads to another guess, which leads to another slim-chance interpretation of another face, and so on.

I believe the moon landing was real. Any evidence to the contrary has been satisfactorily explained. I would love to read whatever thread prompted this.</body>

There is a horizontal rod across the top of the flag which makes it stand out and visible.

Very convincing, maybe I bought in a bit too much to this theory. I'm pretty big into stuff like this, and probably gave it more credibility than it deserved. However, as I said earlier, the benefits would be pretty great for having the first on the moon whether real or not.</body>
