Pretty much everybody got it. I asked them about prices and stuff. I dont guess they would want me to post it on a public forum. I think other people got the message about the payments too. Not sure.
I own futureshirts. I helped our Art Director write that Email... Its the real deal... - yes its spec. We werent trying to piss anyone off... just hoping to see if a few guys who post a lot of great designs would like the opportunity... We didnt send the Email to everyone..., just those who have a lot of "design of the days," (we stopped at 23) There is a lot of great talent here, I would love to wear(or print) half the shirts Ive seen! - With the Disney deal I didnt want to spend a ton of cash on the same old art... We wanted to try some fresh ideas this year, throw it out with a different twist, take a new direction.
I hope you will consider it, its a great opportunity. (Jon)
these guys are just like any other apparel printer. they are going to pitch as many designs as possible to their disney contact, and disney might buy 1-4 out of 20-35, if they are top notch. so the chances of this being an opportunity is not great.
you might as well do 10 speculative works custom made for the apparel vendors you want to be printed by like billabong or quiksilver, do some research and email the designs to the art director or an inside contact.

thats all fine and dandy, but i just love me some disney. this isnt really about the money for me.

word. You ARE a number one super fan.
go for it!
*** i usually dont threadcrap on the cattle calls, but i got the email.
i feel like these cattle calls are similar to a moderately hot chick going into a bar full of dudes, and she says
"hey... who wants to have a chance to make out with me!?"
"all you have to do is perform for me, and then, if i like your skills and what you have to offer, you might get to get a little piece of this ass."
if only this girl would come to me individually, the offer might seem a little more inticing, but since i know there are many other brothers in competition, as well as having the chance to hit it... unless im desparate for whatever the girl has to offer, maybe she has a awesome badonkadonk, and im a lover od badonkadonk... then sure.. i might go for it.

obviously Joey, disney is your badonkadonk.
That was probably the most amazing analogy Ive ever heard.

I got the email too. Theyre looking for 20 designs and will pay xxx amount if they like it and another xxxx amount if Disney decides to print it. Assuming they emailed 23 people and only 5 people seriously respond to it, then you have a better chance of getting the xxx amount (which is not much by the way). But ultimately, Disney decides if you get the full xxxx badonkadonk--which is not too bad. But the operative words are "if Disney decides to print".
And they are looking for "affliction, ed hardy, etc." types of designs. So..
