Haha. If you’re at all skeptical about religion, you’d really enjoy it. I know how you feel, Bill Maher annoys me sometimes. His monologues on Real Time With Bill Maher are straight up not funny. But this movie was really good.
I have a story that kind of fits here...
The other day I was helping out for picture day at my son’s school. Some little kid who is around 6 years old walks up and is wearing a 2Pac shirt. Soon after complimenting him on his awesome shirt, I realize he has no clue who 2Pac is...Somewhere in the quick conversation he tells me he hates Hip Hop, that Jesus doesn’t like Hip Hop. So then when I inform him that 2Pac is Hip Hop he looks puzzled and says that after school he is going to rip the shirt to shreds!!!
It’s amazing the things people teach their children.
I can’t wait to watch this. I actually just finished watching Moore’s Slacker Uprising the other day. Pretty good, not as good as his previous two documentaries, but hey he’s giving it away for free - at least he understand file sharing in 2008.

Warning, may contain spoilers!But I actually liked that he had a message though -- that it wasn’t all just pointing out flaws and making jokes. If we’re honest, we’ve seen movies that are waaaay more preachy. It’s just that he’s being preachy about the opposite, which we aren’t used to.

well the religious aspect of the film is what id focus on, i just dont want bill maher being a dick about everything and ruining it and making it unenjoyable.
It was such a good movie. The end is a little intense but I think the message that he was trying to get across was that religion is a serious deal and the people that are on the fence should pick a side.
We listen to media talk about religion and no one ever talks about how absurd it really is. I could go on for years about this subject so ill stop now.GO SEE THIS MOVIE, it is worth the money.

I’m a Christian, but an open minded one for sure, and definitely probably not what this movie portrays, but then again I do know the Christian faith has a bad aura over it, and a deserved one at that.
We’ve been selfrighteous bastards for a long time.
I just hope people don’t walk away with a general idea about people of faith based on this movie.
Funny that the people presented as "religious" are always fanatics. But then, the rest of us are just hypocrites, so either way religion gets a bad name.
I really want to see this. Are there any online links to see the whole film yet? I don’t know of it playing here in England. Not that I’ve particularly checked.
