Shirt Types

posted about 1 month ago by zombiekid

I recently emailed www.myspace.com/terminustees about an order. Initially I was going to go with American Apparel but they said I can either go with another brand Tultex (which I had never heard of).

"It is same feel and fit as AA, your just not paying for the AA name. Tultex also has pull out tags, so no one would ever know the difference and you would save money"

What would you recommend?

    i have a tultex shirt.
they have the same fit (tultex is a little tighter) but theyre not as soft. also the tend to get worse with every wash. i wouldnt reccommend them as all my aa shirts just hold up better and are softer. plus people seem to be more buy friendly with aa.

Thanks, what about Bay Island Sportswear and Anvil? Are these worth it or just the same as Tultex.

Should I just pay the little extra and opt. for AA?

I can’t vouch for Bay Island. I’ve heard good things but have never personally worn one. Anvil is going to be a lot like Gildan, from my experience, and I just want to agree with Darian, Tultex has a decent fit but is not as soft as AA. Tear away tags are cool though, it does leave a minor stub though.

anvil fashion fit tees are the same price as tultex and they fit EXACTLY like AA. just not as many colors and about an ounce heavier.

Can anyone vouch for Bay Island? I am interested on the quality/fit of these shirts. I would say just pay the the money and go AA but you have to ask yourself if you want to supply a slightly better product in exchanges for some money.

they are super thin. i think girls like them. probably not the white ones though... as they are hardly opaque enough for todays lady.

I have 2 Bay Island shirts that I would LOVE to wear but they shrink like a MOTHER EFFER.

Seriously... and they’re super thin. I have 2 smalls and they fit like XXS or something.

anvil and gildan are really bad. i have those and they’re pretty much dying...although its been a while.

really with aa your paying for the name and quality as well plus i just think its a better shirt to print on as the majority of people here do. i’ve never heard of bay island.
its more pricey with aa but sometimes you have to sacrifice.

anvil fashion tee is not like gildan at all though, its really nice

For Fashion SlimFit tees we offer Anvil Slimfit, Tultex, Bay Island, and American Apparel. Anvil Slimfit and tultex are about the same, but yes anvil does not have many colors. Bay islands are nice because they carry weird colors that tultex does not. and then there is American Apparel. AA has the best quality, and prints. Its just So Dang Expensive! haha i feel dirty telling people how much thier prints will cost on them. But it makes the difference for you in the long run. We just like to let our customers know how to save money when times are tuff. The Economy Sucks...

    Dude that is weird.

Everything in Primark is crap, i saw 2 smalls next to each other, one was tiny and the other was huge, their stuff is so poor!

Their site is down for construction. I bet termy has the best info since he deals with them.

Thanks for the info guys. Hows the neck on the AA shirts? I am obsessive compulsive when it comes to neck lines. I like em perfectly fit and not to thick. (jonny cupcakes shirts/ Bape are perfect).

Bay island is terrible to work with as a distributer... almost everything is always on back order and they don’t tell you if it is before you order so you end up getting stuck with half an order calling your client explaining the issue.

You can get Bay Island for a lot cheaper than Tultex, but it is still not worth the hastle, especially since the fabric of bay island shirts seems to pull up a lot more than any other shirt when printing.

Everyone at TSC is great to work with and although tultex does not have the same stock that AA carries, it is a great, comfortable, inexpensive and print friendly tee.

Also, Anvil’s 30/1 ring spun shirts are great, they do really have a similar fit to AA and they are pretty soft.

edit* Here is a link to the bay island color card if any is actually interested.... Bay Island Color Card

Ughh Tultex for guys is horrible. Its so thin and form fitting. I saw some today and the thinness of the tee just makes me feel like its flimsy. These do shrink like a bitch, too. For girls, I’d say its fine. I might just fork over the dough for AA guys, though. Too much $ but overall best quality and selection.

precisely. I have a white one and it’s way too thin so I have to wear a shirt underneath it. but it fits nicely. it’s an extra small; I don’t know if it’s guys or girls but it fits like a girls small. word.

and I have an Anvil fashion fit or slim fit tee (I don’t know what it is) and it’s a lot shorter than AA. fit is the same, but length is shorter. like youth medium short.
