remember, if you do find a printer that is able to print it like the mock, you would have to buy a set of screens for each shirt size or else the small shirts will be missing part of the design and the large ones will be tiny on the shirt. so a 5 color design with 3 sets is 15 screens, and since printers charge $10-20 per screen that can get expensive.

Itll be much more than $10-20 per screen. Thatll be either an oversized print or an all-over print to get it the size of the mock, which costs a lot.

yeah. cut down on the colors. switch some out. like those blues on the bottom.
and maybe change the shirt color. everyone puts their designs on white for god sakes.
I think a print like that should be separated by the printer. If they know what theyre doing, theyll have a better idea of how to separate for their color mix without too much of the design going neutral and muddy.

Keep it on white. Not having to underbase that shit will save you cash.
damn it! i really appreciate the help guys, but I wish a printer would just say he can print it, and how hes going to. (or she.) If some colors need to be switched out, so be it. As long as it looks just as sick as it does now. I love this design; its why i got involved with tees.
We could print that 16" X 22" we could run it at a 4 color process kind of like how they print in magazines. print it wet on wet and it blends the colors rather than a ton of dots. Would be a pain in the balls, but im pretty sure we could do it.

NO shiny sheets of plastic here ;)
Bottom line - if you want to print this as awesome looking as the mock up, you need to find a sublimation printer to press these for you. Its gonna be expensive, but theyre going to look amazing.
Radical Promotions said: oh yea we do sumblimation printing too, did anybody mention that yet??

Agreed actually. Kinda pushy in your ways. People just be people. There are plenty of print jobs to go around.
i wasnt ever trying to be rude i was simply defending my company, i didnt butt in until that guy started bashing my company and the work we have done, and then to have the audacity to go to our site and copy and paste pictures of jobs that we have done that have nothing wrong with them?
thats sort of what i would call rude
we have the upmost respect for our customers and the people that we serve
but im not afraid to stand up for my companys name and our product

defend your company all you want but when i look through shirts you have printed and a great majority of them look super thick and shiny... im just calling it how i see it man.
im curious about this as well...mostly about the gradient.
ive read thru a few "how to print gradient" posts, and im aware of using halftones to do it...so like, if you wanted gradient from black to white (or any two colors) you would make a gradient in PS, flatten, grayscale, then color halftone, and select the black dots and change the color to what you want, inverse, and then change that to the other color...
but what if you have a 3 color gradient? same sort of thing? do you need to use sublimation?
and how is sublimation diff. than silk screening?
ok sorry im sure the answers to these questions could be mined from the search function...feel free to ignore this post if you want (or answer questions if ur feeling helpful) ;p

our customers are always 100% satisfied with our prints, we use the same ink as everybody else, on dark shirts and printing over seams its gonna be thick anyways due to an underbase white

Ive dealt with Radical for the past 2 months or so.
Theyve been nothing but helpful to me, and have been very professional in doing so.
And I could see why he would take a stance about that statement, Im sure thats something that any printer would take a stand about. It really made their products sound crappy, which isnt the case.
Im not hear to step on anyones toes, or to get a reply back to this comment. This is just my experiences with Radical, and i wouldnt feel nervous recommending them to anyone in need of quality prints.

Back to the initial conversation, when I test printed this awhile back the colors turned out awesome. It is sublimation printed. I wish I had a big enough press to do a full tee.
If Radical can do sublimation thatd be rad. I havent considered printing sublimation because of the quality of shirts. They are nice, but the fit isnt as popular since its not slim.

Good luck on a belt printer. Process printing and loose registration...mmm bad times.
a killer wombat said about 1 month ago
or just get the screens made at a large size so they are a touch smaller on larger shirts and extra large on smaller shirts
Cole said about 1 month ago
a belt printer yeilds terrible registration and you are going to need super tight registrtation to keep all those gradients looking good.
that radical promotions place can print pretty big but look at the quality of their prints. super thick shiny sheets of plastic. eek.
this could probably be done with 5 or 6 colors.

This last shirt is not sublimated.. its only "Waterbase soft hand print" according to their site
