Im attempting to make a shirt right now, and im about to pop a blood vessel because i cant get the picture and type im using to divide from each other to form type with an image fill. If anyone knows how to do this easily in Illustrator, your help is greatly appreciated.

    EDIT

Place text in front of image (don’t convert to outlines) and select all Object>Clipping Mask>Make

The text can still be changed, and you can adjust the picture with the direct selection tool.

    Do it in Photoshop.

Place the image layer above the text layer
Hold down alt and click right between the two layers in the layers pallet

    hope that makes sense.
