Pretty cool iPhone/iPod Touch app for browsing Threadless designs. It’s a very simple app that allows you to view and save (for use as iPhone wallpaper) Threadless designs. It’s much faster than viewing the full site in Safari on the iPhone.

How hard would it be to develop something like this for Emptees? For example, to view the tee of the day and browse the rest of the tee designs full screen with the ability to love designs from within the app. I know you can do this in Safari from the iPhone but it would be much faster and easier on the eyes if it was done in a native app. Thoughts?

About the "threads" app.
I just DL’d it, easy nav and saves some loading time as opposed to viewing in safari.
Makes driving safer.

LOL. Don’t care about credit (Ian would deserve all of it anyway!) I just want to see an Emptees app!
It would be pretty cool to be able to browse Emptees and easily save designs for use as Wallpaper on the iPhone. Or easily "love" designs with a tap of a heart. And with the API there’s potential to purchase tees directly from within the app (something you can’t currently do on Threads as it forwards you to the threadless site via safari).
This has potential to be awesome.

I just got a quick reply back from Ian, here’s what he said:
"I like the site, looks promising. I tried to look but couldn’t tell if the feed includes an image of the design without the actual tshirt? Those would make better wallpapers for the iPhone."
I think that this is the case and the only images in the feed here at Emptees are the mockups with the shirt included. Is there also one with just the image of the design minus the inclusion of the t-shirt mockup? Maybe one of the admins here could answer this question.

Ah I see, so basically, the app would not be of much use if you wanted to save the design as a wallpaper on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
But, it would be great for browsing tees and "loving" tees on the go. And with the size of the previews/mockups, I think it would work great in widescreen view on the iPhone.
