go to best buy, the apple store, or circuit city and ask one the sales associates. They will sale you something that will fit your needs.

I have one of those Western Digital passport hard drives that I’ve been happy with so far.

psssh, whatever, most the time those people dont know jack shit, thats if you can even get them to talk to you.

i went with the wd my book, the’ve got some nice lighter portable drives too on the cheap. id stay away from lacie, ive had bad experiences with them.

i’ve got a maxtor external. i’ve also built 2 in the last year. depends on what you’re looking for, but sometimes buying a harddrive and a case for it is cheaper than a prefab one

haha, I know, man. My local stores are good about helping, but I live in a small town. But the apple time capsule is awesome!

I’m splashing out on a LaCie 500GB ethernet mini disk this month. Herd nothing but good things about them ...
But if u want something smaller i also have a 160GB WD Passport thats been fine for over a year. Finally filled it up though.

i looked at the time capsule and it seems to be twice the price

and i dont see the point of paying more for an apple hard drive

True they are pretty pricey but they look sexy

I’ve got a 300gb Maxtor drive that started to corrupt files after a couple of years of fairly regular use, and a Lacie 1TB drive that hasn’t messed up once since I got it at Christmas.

I’d go with the Lacie simply because they look awesome, though they are a bit more expensive that most other external drives.

I have an iomega 500 and as heavyprints will contest, I dropped it on the floor 2 nights ago and it still works!
