ive got a maxtor external. ive also built 2 in the last year. depends on what youre looking for, but sometimes buying a harddrive and a case for it is cheaper than a prefab one

haha, I know, man. My local stores are good about helping, but I live in a small town. But the apple time capsule is awesome!

Im splashing out on a LaCie 500GB ethernet mini disk this month. Herd nothing but good things about them ...
But if u want something smaller i also have a 160GB WD Passport thats been fine for over a year. Finally filled it up though.

i looked at the time capsule and it seems to be twice the price
and i dont see the point of paying more for an apple hard drive

True they are pretty pricey but they look sexy

Ive got a 300gb Maxtor drive that started to corrupt files after a couple of years of fairly regular use, and a Lacie 1TB drive that hasnt messed up once since I got it at Christmas.
Id go with the Lacie simply because they look awesome, though they are a bit more expensive that most other external drives.

I have an iomega 500 and as heavyprints will contest, I dropped it on the floor 2 nights ago and it still works!
