I really want to do some prints of this on at work since my walmart prints on some pretty nice poster board that holds up really well, and the colors always turn out beautiful.
You also have to watch out for people that will say they will buy your stuff, but when they say buy they mean they might pay $4 for it but probably not.
1 reason being its missing a lot, especially for a poster.
the second reason is, i wouldnt buy crap you print at wal-mart. be a real man and get it screen printed!

If I knew that it would sell decently I would totally get it screenprinted..but...if not thats not really cost effective lol
The prints really arent bad though, it is the same epson wide format printer that most kinkos use
Yeah, its simple, yet awesome. Art doesnt need to have 5000 things going all the time. Sometimes simpler and clean is sexy. Like the lines of a Z3. Nothing flashy, but its smoothness and sublte curves and styling make it one of the sexiest cars,
i wouldnt buy it for $20 since i could draw a paint can on my wall for cheaper than that and it just makes me think "paint store ad" as it is now. i agree it needs more. like birds playing in the paint stream like its a waterfall. or whatever.
If it had more visual effect Id buy it. Right now it is not a show piece that strikes conversation or much intrest. What is the story? Maybe it just needs more color or effect?
its a nice image of a paint can, but theres no real message and what somebody said before about it reminding them of a paint store ad rings true...
i myself am a fan of negative space, but theres a difference between good negative space and a print that needs something else to make it more visually interesting, which is what i think the case is with this. like, if you introduced the idea of CMYK into it...maybe three drips, one cyan, one magenta, one yellow, fell into the bucket to make black? i dunno.
lets just say i think its a great start to something more.
Rik said: Itd make a good canvas print, id buy it on a canvas, slimmed down, with 3 different coloured paints in a series of 3canvases.
I think making a series of it would be a good move... especially if you wanna sell em cheap. maybe CMYK ( 4 print series ) or RGB ( 3 print duh ). I personally would buy them that way, it would make sense
Its pretty cool. I wouldnt buy it as a digital print - though. It may not be cost effective to screen print but neither is printing on AA tees. Its just a matter of getting what is a better quality product.

i agree, sometimes simple speaks to you so much more then 91032 things going on at once in a piece. i like this, not sure if id buy it, but i do like it :)

For me to put a poster up its got to either represent something I like, a band for example... or it has to say something I thought was clever enough to be reminded of everyday or the artwork has to be so spectacular that it inspires me constantly...
Not that this is bad or anything, but someone said it before, its missing alot.

how much would you sell them for?
Simply Complicated said about 1 month ago
itd be an 18x24 print on some fairly thick poster board so it would be 20-ish plus shipping I guess
altercrisis said about 1 month ago
hmmmm, if ts that big of a print it would be nice to see some of the space be filled in with something, just my opinion though

I wouldnt buy it BUT dont go adding heaps of stuff in the background. More isnt more people - white space is good.

its not that it needs "more" its just the baby blue isnt a stark contrast to the muted background. I need something with more POP and texture.

this just seems totally random by itself

It looks good, its very similar to a small stakes poster ive seen before though.
Not saying its a rip at all, but its similar.
Derisory Designs said about 1 month ago
Love this idea,
or Litos idea, four paint buckets with each paint can representing the cmyk channels in four prints mounted all together

No. Mainly because theres a list of posters I want to buy and havent yet. But no.

add some text - black sabbath is a really heavy, bold typeface that could go really well with this in black & blue...
