Fighters lose sometimes. It doesn’t make them "overrated hype machines". C’mon dude. The guy is transitioning from competiton at a sub-amateur level of back yard bare knuckle competition, to working with trained professionals. He has alot to learn. No reason to be all "in your face" about it.

*I agree with HP on the whole backyard to pro thing, but at that level of MMA being as big a name as Kimbo Slice and getting rocked that hard shows he is a lot of talk. He would murder me with one arm but I’m not a big burly mma fighter.

Rocked what hard? He fell down and instead of cover like he should have, he tried to stay off his back, got hit 4 times without answering, and lost. There was no knockout. He had his back off the mat the whole time.
"put him against any big name" is the same as saying "put a rookie against any seasoned vet"...

He certainly was getting wailed on. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have lost. It just pisses me off when a guy loses a fight and people come out of the woodworks saying how their career is a joke. Everyone has a bad day sometimes and does stupid shit.
That’s like saying if everyone on heres next design isn’t a TOTD within 24 hours they should all hang it up and get a new job. Every fight is not your best fight. It doesn’t make you a failure.

I see where you are coming from better now. I don’t think his career is a joke, i just think he should have done better. but like you said everyone has bad days, and this was a very bad day for him. he got famous by beating up bums and gangstas in street fights and was put on a very high pedestal when he entered the pros. I think I have a lot of disdain for the guy because of how obsessed a lot of people my age are. 18-20ish bracket. You know these kind of guys, huge upper body, tiny lower body, a few steroid pimples and popped collars.

You clearly misunderstood me. It wasn’t because he lost that I consider him overrated. Everyone loses. It’s the fact that the dude was claiming that he was an "unbeatable n*gga from the streets" after fighting has beens like Tank Abbot (whose lost the last 8 out of his 9 fights), James Thompson, and Ray Mercer.
EliteXC was purposely sanctioning these contrived matches so that Kimbo could eat these dudes alive and get males between then ages of 18 and 25 stoked as hell, tuning in, and buying up Kimbo merch.
Semantics aside, it was rad or me to see him get TKO’d after making arrogant comments regarding the impossibility of such a possibility.

Honestly he is overrated. The fact that they keep making him the main event when there are better quality fighters is ridiculous. He has a lot to learn and should be working from the bottom to the top. It’s a shame that people who know little to nothing of mma will think he is some good fighter. He should have lost his last fight and Bas Rutten has said he should of lost, because of the rules. Elite XC just seems to be shady. But in any fight, it go either way. Maybe Kimbo will be a good fighter or maybe not, we’ll have to see as long as he faces quality fighters.
