Price for Custom Online Store?

Not for me right now, just putting some business models together, but I wanted to know what the price is for a custom store. Not something to wild, but nothing BC , district line or the type. Something in size almost to Karmaloop etc etc.

   Contact a handful of design firms, tell them the basic idea and get a quote. Take those quotes, add em up, and divide it by the number of quotes you gotand you’ve got yourself a good average.

   Yeah , I was just looking for a general idea since i know there are some design firms here.

   We’re having a custom online store being built for us. It’s almost done, it’s pretty complicated. A site as complex as karmaloop will cost you much more than 10k if you want it done by someone who is good.

   I’d agree with the $10 - $15k range. Depends on overall design, functionality, how user-maintainable it is and secondary features like blogging, e-newsletters, etc.

   you can double or tripple that, with full server backups, staff, meetings world wide to stock the right brands, proper photo shoots, the list is endless...

    I’ll use the name since it was a basic, ballpark figure.

    About 8 months ago before I hired my designer and chose to use BC, palebird quoted me at 8500 for a webstore. We didn’t even get into design talk.
