Mine currently stored in my grandparents loft whilst our flat is being done up :-(
Its a bright yellow premier maple artist series kit with evans skins.
I have a tama iron cobra single pedal and a tama iron cobra double pedal.
Cymbals I use Zildjian Z custom hi-hats, crash and ride and I have a Zildjian oriental china trash (I think thats what its called) and I have a few other unbranded turkish crashes that sound nice.
Oh and a purple tambourine :-)
At the moment however I have to make do with my Roland TD-3
6 ply maple toms, 10x12 no mount, 16x16 suspended cradle.
8 ply maple kick, 24x26 with an aquarian SK2 clear batter, fybrskin reso.
5x13 ten ply maple w/ 10 ply rerings, burnt orange satin stain, diecast hoops and 7/8" offset mini tubes.
Dw 5000 single kick pedal. 14 new beat hats, upside down. 18" zcustom rock crash, 20" A custom ride.
Custom built in June 2007 in Dudley, MA.
Retail value: $3800 plus.
robolove said: Stuff is soooo expensive in this country. Your kit completely owns mine but mine still cost like £2900 which is what like $5100?
Riddiculous.
Premier is rather high end, that ticket doesnt suprise me.

this is an acrylic kit i built for myself years ago, all mine except the snare...
this is a Ludwig classic maple in "Mod Orange". love it.
and this is an old Mapex kit i no longer have but ruled. i powdercoated the hardware and wrapped it in fur.
My favourite part of my kit is my 6.5" x 14" (i.e. super deep) Pork Pie acrylic snare.
Had to buy a new snare stand to necessitate that bad boy. Its so loud and its got such a crack to it that it sounds like a gun going off.. I love it. Not only that, but I bought it about 18 months ago off eBay when the exchange rate was £1 to $2.1, so it was effectively half price.. Thanks America.
the first snare I had built was a clear acrylic with single tubes and single flange chrome hoops.
Sold it, and had an 8x14 gold glitter with claw style wood hoops. Had it made 6ply and didnt like how deep it sounded; very warm but barely any attack. sold it, then had my current snare (in photo above) built.
I think I found what i was looking for with this one.

Yah, I mean I am just warning you. My good friend TJ (A fellow drummer NOW on Mullins with me, GWEN STACYS [FERRET] DRUMMER) was on Shine and basically they got him his kit and then NEVER talked to him again. He told me that they were REALLY shady and bad. Then he switched over to Mullins.

I appreciate it man. I already experienced a super shifty endorsement through Kent Custom. Complete douche bags. Ill do anything to avoid going through that again.

How many of you had limb independence before starting drums? If you didnt how long did it take you to learn train your muscles/brain to work in such a way?
I find the act of drumming mind boggling since my brain automatically syncs my limbs up for me like straight eighth notes on my right arm means my right foot can only do straight eighth notes.

i didnt gain a good amount of independence for a few years (right and left foot). it comes with time and practice. Best thing i could of done for my independence was buying Gary chesters New breed. Does wonders.
hopefully this weekend ill take pictures of the prospective studio kit. if things go right ill be recording on one of the new vertical ply dws :D.
Ive been playing for about 5 years now (3 with lessons).

Took a little while to develop. I had a friend who played a bit and he helped me hone it somewhat. My first three years were spent taking biweekly lessons and that helped as well, along with rudiment excersises and stick control. I just learned mostly by trying to play songs I liked and doing my best to perfect the patterns, fills and intensity of strokes.

ewewewew shine sucks. they are crappy.
there drums are par and there company is really bad in general.
notice most of the GOOD artists on shine left for either Truth, Mullins, OC.
I would re think that decision.

Tama Starclassic maple in a dark cherry fade. 10', 12", 14", 16" 18x22 kick
Right when I first got my kit,

and now recently, i play without the 16" floor tom and china. Slowly reducing my setup to just what I need for my band's style of music.

Im getting hooked up on buying another snare from Grover. Im endorsed through Silverfox, their drumstick company. I cant wait to get it!
