My friends' band is doing a huge show they do every year on Halloween and we decided to print a shirt for it but to keep the cost down we want to do just one color.
Any tips on keeping the design looking sick and only one color?
ANY tips.
I know its a broad thing to look for advice for but I dont want it to look flat and... like shit.

1 color prints are the SHIT.
if you are into lineart, this will be fun. im personally all about one color prints, and wish more people would do them well enough.

buh.. nothing new. you need a good design
shock color or red blood.
try with halftones for shades.
a thick rough print gives depth to the tee.
or low quality ink but big sized print.

Alright, sick. I just started using halftones because of this site... Its going to be orange print on black I think, so I might go negative space with it.

I remember Fall Out Boy had a pretty sweet halloween show at the KOC back in the day and they printed shirts for it. Always a good idea Id say.

look at Erics "Keith The Quiet" tee. One colour, but brilliant. And it looks just as good in the flesh, trust me.
So personally, i think that if the design is good enough, 1 colour can easily work if youre clever with it.
