hey everyone,
i dont know if any of yous know this, but a couple of nights ago my computer decided "hey i dont think edgil needs adobe photoshop anymore, lets bang it in the ass and leave it for dead" and now im left with nothing to design on, all im doing is working on linework so once i get a design programme ill have the linework done and alot of time saved.
so the point of this post is:
can anyone tell me some design programmes i could possibly purchase/ download that opens psd files and illustrator files?
thanks everyone!

I like painter and I havent had much trouble with it crashing.

How about Photoshop? You could download it as a 30 day trial straight from Adobe.
Sorry... I dont know if that helps er not.

My photoshop crashes on me more than my Painter does.

Well for vector stuffs there is Inkscape, its Open Source, thus free:
http://www.inkscape.org/
And if your running on a mac, you can try Pixelmator as a Photoshop replacement. It looks awesome and its cheap:

that pixelmator looks pretty sick

I wish I had a mac so I could try it. The only thing it looks like it doesnt have is the pen tool.

i hate corel. it sucks.
but why dont you just reinstall photoshop? about a month ago my computer decided to randomly realize i dont have a license for photoshop and not let me open it, so i just went out to the internet and downloaded creative suite 3. just find a nice keygen.

It was a joke, the guy I quoted suggested photoshop in a thread asking for programs besides photoshop.
Also, +1 for Inkscape, a pretty nice program for free.

you should go to the adobe site and check the troubleshooting, some months ago all my cs3 programs stopped working, and I checked there and it shows you how to fix it.
