When I first saw the Looney Tunes/JC topic, I was like 'OMG!' and I thought Id be all over this.
Now its more like meh.. Same thing as iamthetrend said above me, its just bugs bunny holding a JC logo. Couldve been anything on it. KFC for example, really, anything.
And like Kyle said, the back annoys me. It looks rather cheap. It looks more like an ad than a design.

good on johnny for the huge deal, but i agree with this.
the chefs hat has thicker line weight than anything else, looks basically like something out of a coloring book w/ JC imagery drawn over.
also agree w/ kyle that the back doesnt look right, looks like the bottom part needs to be moved up and tucked behind the looney tunes logo w/ the cupcake overlapping it.
Its just a really typical collab, two companies mashing their logos together. After The Hundreds x Johnny Cupcakes collab I was expecting something more creative and different than what every other brand in the world is doing. The Hundreds x Disney and The Hundreds x Johnny Cupcakes collabs were about 1000x better than this.
I hope the rest of the series is better than this.

This is basically bugs bunny holding a JC logo, doesnt really do it for me. Who is the market for this?
I agree. I suppose the market is all the die hard JC fans...which is probably good enough to sell this out.
Well I have a feeling that the looney tunes people have VERY strict rules with how you handle their artwork, so a complete redraw would be out of the question.
I agree with OvenRude and personally wouldnt really want to see a redrawing of bugs bunny or any of the other characters. Not something I would wear probably just because of the yellow.
i kind of like the promo image. Something like that on a shirt i would wear ha.
OvenRude said: Well I have a feeling that the looney tunes people have VERY strict rules with how you handle their artwork, so a complete redraw would be out of the question.
That is all just my speculation though.
True johhny had a huge book of rules to follow that went in to huge detail about the use of the characters bugs bunny has to have his ears at a specific angle i seem the remember i think they rule as do the rest of the shirts that are going to come out on the 12th!
i love JC... but man am i disappointed
this just isnt creative or interesting at all
like someone else said looks like something you could buy at jc pennys or a gift shop or something cheesy like that

the back print kills this. regardless of our opinions its such a great achievement for his brand to collaborate with such a huge company. of course its gonna look commercial, but its looney tunes.
take away the back print and do another color way and bam! good enough. yellow works well and im sure they will sell out, but, damn, yellow shirts
We did have an entire bound book given to us that was filled with rules and regulations. A what-not-to-do book. From the littlest details like whisker placements.
All in all, using the tools that were + werent given to us, I think these came out great. The other 3 t-shirts will drop this Saturday at noon.
I think its an alright t shirt for a younger JC market. The only thing i dont like is the separation on the back between the Looney Tunes circle and JC logo.

some how I doubt Disney would let anyone have anything touching their logo directly
I think he did the best he was able considering restrictions

zreed/bluetidepro said 12 months ago
I wonder if they cleared that? I could see them getting sued for it.
8-bit ZOMBIE said 12 months ago
Warner Bros. approached JC for the collab! Its all legal.
Furface said 12 months ago
they did, johnnys been working on it for years he says :)
Geoff May said 12 months ago
Worked on that tee for years?
zreed/bluetidepro said 12 months ago
That is really awesome!
8-bit ZOMBIE said 12 months ago
Its cool I guess. I was kind of expecting more though.
Looks like generic stock Bugs Bunny art with the JC stuff photoshopped in.
Furface said 12 months ago
no, theyve been working on the clearance and stuff for years

I would assume the rights for a collab.

this looks like a bugs bunny shirt youd buy at jc penney, but this one says johnny cupcakes.
i enjoy the JC brand as much as the next guy, and commend his ability to collab with such a huge client, but im just not a fan of the shirt at all.
i guess i was expecting something better.

Yeah I agree with everyone - I was sorta hoping JC would do to Looney Tunes what Bape did to Spongebob and Ghostbusters.

Where did you get the image from the comedian? It almost looks fake to be honest.
Geoff May said 12 months ago
I dont like it at all. Then again Im not a fan of any of the JC brand. That said, hes got marketing down to a science.
sht! said 12 months ago
yikes!
i could never pull off a yellow shirt!
the back should be more than one color!

Peter Anderelli said 12 months ago
Love it.
But Dobi what you did for the back looks right. I cant imagine that they would release it like in the original picture.
Either way, Im buying it first thing Saturday.
wankerbanker said 12 months ago
Its the cool thing to do in streetwear right now...
Adhesive Hippo said 12 months ago
Im unimpressed, but I usually am with JC. Im just not a fan of the line.
skull with hair said 12 months ago
yeah except johnny cupcakes isnt a streetwear brand and no, this really isnt the cool thing to do in streetwear right now
joeROOSTER said 12 months ago
i wouldnt say JC is streetwear
wankerbanker said 12 months ago
yeah JC is totally not streetwear, but I kind of get the feel that hes trying to be. And what makes you say a lot of brands arent doing collabs?

i think its great that hes even allowed to place his logo on a well known character.
the cupcake should be on the plate, not his take-out box.

man...hate these big companies that just wont let an artist do his/her thing, but I guess they have a product to protect...
the Iceberg LT tees from back in the day werent too bad...
and just as a sidenote, I love the fit and feel of supreme tees...

Anyway I agree for the back of the tee.
cherrypistols said 12 months ago
Yeah, im not into the first design.
looks to placed together the second one is okay.
i hope they keep getting better,
they should have kept it old school style more.
there so many characters to choose from it would be really
hard i think to design 4 shirts.

what dobi did to the back makes the tee look 400 times better.
