The tee is an xs.
I find it easier to make mocks from the smaller ones.

Tom, Geoff wasn’t accusing you of anything. The Sky Eats Airplane design looks CollisionTheoryish. That’s not that bad a thing considering how good CT is. Jumping to conclusions won’t help you. Posting the images was just Geoff showing you why he said what he said.

I can see what you mean bear. I think Tom could easily sell these, even at a minimal price, but maybe getting exposure for it and getting people to actually be willing to pay for it would be difficult. How many designers here would pay for this instead of GoMedia’s? I don’t know the answer, but if it’s very low then very few people would be exposed to it.

Naturally Tom is proud of the mock kit and took a lot of time making it. Having people use it and say it’s good makes you feel good, so going the right way to get those results is what we need to help Tom with.

Basically, if you’re going to point out something you think is an issue, why not include what you believe to be a solution as well?

I’m going to start making free tee shirt designs for bands. maybe they wont be as good as a crawford or a godmach, but they are FREE.

I totally get what your point is bear. And you’re right too. But there are also plenty of free template out there. Hell, there’s even a very good free AA mock in the resources.

I’m not entirely sure that the people who use this would spend money on tee templates anyways. The people who get the GoMedia templates won’t use this, and even if they do, they already have the GoMedia ones so that’s no problem.

I, for instance, won’t buy the GoMedia ones as i don’t do anywhere near enough tee designs to need a really professional mock up. If i did, i’d buy them and i would use these.

Like i said though, i do think Tom could sell these and make some money. Difficult one.

If anything Gomedia have seen all the slightly less professional free downloads and thought "i can do this better and make money"

free templates came before GoMedia, Gomedia have just made the most professional templates possible for professionals to use royalty free.

but tomatoes and downloads are different. When someone downloads something for free, nobody loses anything. It’s like if I say, sure I’ll send you personally a poster of my art if you pay for it to be made and shipped. I can do that if I want. Nobody loses anything. Just someone possibly loses business. It’s just the way it goes.

I’ve read some of the thoughts expressed in this thread and would just like to say that it has never been my intention to affect go media’s sales in any way.
I could have quite easily charged for this mock-up, but that’s not the reason I made it. I put this together to help people out, not for my own personal gain.

I have bought the Go-media template packs myself, even though I have the knowledge to make my own. And after using them, the only flaw I could find was that the PSD could be much more organized.

Tom, this is a great mock-up kit. I would definitely pay $5 for the next kit.
The only thing that I felt was missing from this kit was the backside of the t-shirt. That would pretty much make it complete for me.

They look awesome from the pics although I havent downloaded them yet...If you do plan on making more I would suggest doing the back as well and maybe using a small or medium where the sleeves look a little more natural, but other then that they look like the best free ones for sure!

I think Tom deserves a second and third thank you. I’ve never used a mock up kit before this one and I’m in love with it. Before this all I did was just use a line template or a picture of a shirt without the whole MASK(ED)ing thing.

I feel like I’m PEE WEE and anytime I say anything having to do with the word MASK then everyone’s supposed to scream.
