Mostly when I could I tried to just have my friends model (fortunate to hang out with a lot of fine ass shorties) and we would just shoot the shit and be kind of ridiculous so the pictures felt natural and we were just having fun. I think that's usually the best way about it with t-shirts cause they are, you know, fun.
