If you like to eat meat and you can admit that there is uneccessary pain and suffering involved in its getting to your table and you still like to eat it then own up to it, and let it be. Stop trying to somehow justify it to non meat eaters, be yourself. Because I don't get it. It sounds like you're arguing that eating meat is natural, which it is. The pain and suffering that brings it to your table is not. That's the point that many vegetarians and PeTA (as anti-productive as they are) are trying to make. Irrelevant arguments about death, a humans ability to eat both plants and animals etc. are not good reasons for inflicting uneccessary pain and suffering on things that can feel both just because some asshole in a clown suit likes to make money.
