Anyone here workout?

posted 4 months ago by heythequickness

Just curious to see if anyone on emptees works out or does some sort of exercise regularly. If so, what do you do usually?

For me, I’m really into weight training but I really hate and cannot stand cardio like jogging and all that crap. But I love weight training, probably because I think Kimbo Slice is awesome as fuck.

So what do you all do?

When he’s benching and you’re spotting, do you dip your balls into his mouth?

    I kid...

    By the way,

Landshark, you telling us that you swim and run perfectly matches your name.

Hey! Don’t you mean 'soccer'?! No, you don’t.. because football is actually the correct name as it’s played with feet, and the key object is a ball. There’s another 'sport' which supposedly uses the same name, but they tell me its based entirely around using your hands, and that the ball is in fact, an egg shape.

I get knackered when I play footy for more than 10 minutes.. i really need ot get in shape.

Muay Thai & Jiu Jitsu. I used to lift weights everyday but got tired of weighing too much and not fitting into any clothes.

Doing what i do now lets me weigh less, still be strong and look strong.

I really want to get into some sort of boxing type sport, but I don’t have anyone to fight. I have a punching bag at home, you think it’s a good work out if I just start punching that thing and practicing my form and whatnot? I’ve always loved fighting... ha

I jump rope, run alot, lift weights, work out on a heavybag, and do a bunch of situps and stretching. I sparr when I can get a partner, and sometimes I go in a cage and get beat up. Yay!

That said, I have been slouching on my workouts lately. In a few weeks I’ll be getting a first shift job and a real MMA trainer and that will change.

Weight training, running, and when I can breakdancing.

If you want to loose weight while weight training I suggest sticking to a strict diet, and doing burnout reps working your muscle to the point of fatigue with a moderately heavy weight. I get almost all my fitness and dieting tips from Mens Health

I found a download on the internet and this workout kicks my ass so much. I lifted weights, ran, played competitive soccer twice a week before and this thing was still hard in the beginning.

If you have the time and are motivated I would suggest this. It’s a workout everyday.

You need to take some sort of formal training. You won’t learn how to actually move or throw a punch while moving until you learn from someone who knows what they are doing.

I used to think i could "fight" until i started training and I tried throwing punches to a moving opponent and realized how off balance i was.

After training for almost a year i realized just how much i have learned and how much fun the sport is. You work all your aggression out and stay in shape.

I mainly train in muay thai because I’m a bigger guy and dominate as a stand-up fighter. I train muay-thai 4-5 days a week with one of those days sparring against...well anyone that wants to spar lol.

I do jiu-jitsu for fun but it’s really a lot more complex than anything I’ve ever done so even though i’m a year in...I’m always frustrated. I usually roll at least 3 times a week.

once my back gets back to a point where I can exercise again, my workouts will consist of (in no particular order): paddling, yoga/pilates for back health, ultimate, biking, running, light lifting (a back health issue), and surfing.

Typically twice a day stuff, something in the am and something in the pm.

I go to the gym and lift full body twice a week (really intense workout) and I try and box everyday. I have a heavy bag in my garage and my brother and I are ordering a speed bag pretty soon. We have the mount, but haven’t decided on what kind of bag to get.

I run, lift weights, do sit-ups and push-ups every morning. I used to work on a heavy bag and a speed bag regularly, but I don’t have one anymore.

I’ve been looking to get into Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but I can’t find anywhere to train near where I live. I know I can fight from experience, but I’d love to get more training in to become more stable and to get out more of my aggression.
