I can do flash ones. They turn out better because when you convert to .GIF you get color limits and dithering and such, and lose a lot of quality. The downside of a flash banner is that MySpace doesnt allow you to embed a flash object and make it a link, essentially meaning that people can view your banner but not click it to go back to your page. If thats a big concern, then I would say stick with gifs. Itll restrict your palette severely, but youll be allowed to link.
oh i dont know shit about code, i just have friends that do, and i think one of them mentioned there being a php workaround to use flash on myspace, thought that might allow the linkage.
Just call Tom on the celly phone Hes your friend right He would love to help.
I can do basic after effects if you like. but your better off with a non smart ass.
I dont think you can embed any type of php into myspace..
Also, I disagree with being TOO limited when doing gifs.
One of my main clients (at the time) had me doing dozens of web banners a week and all we ever did was gifs. File sizes below 40kb. While it is somewhat limited to have size and file size predetermined, it teaches you to play around and try and come up with new cool ways to make something so simple look exciting.
