No no, i take that back. Upon rereading your questions, they don't really make much sense. Look into graphic design programs in your area. Design schools are going to teach you about the fundamentals of drawing as well as basics of design programs.

pointing out illustrators brush flaws is akin to pointing out the html shortcomings of Microsoft Word. Although it has limited capabilities to "brush" things, that is not what it was made for, just a cheap add on.

i use illustrator everyday, as well as photoshop, flash, indesign, manga, ect... but i have NEVER used the brush/pencil in illustrator even once.

If a program named after the career of ILLUSTRATION can't draw a proper fucking line, I consider that a major failure, lol.

hah, ill give you that, it would be more aptly named Adobe Vecto-Tron or Logostrator

Agreed. I have a background in print design, used to be an art director for five years. It's a handy program, but not for what we do here 90% of the time.

Why did anyone think it was a good idea to draw by moving tiny ass dots around, and pulling handles...

I guess it's not the tools it's how you use them,

I hate to say it but there is no substitute for talent.
Drawing is either easy or it's not for you,
if it's not

Better hit the book's and start practicing,
it's going to be a bumpy ride.

skull with hair said: this isn't an issue of Adobe Illustrator's flaws, this is an issue of people not understanding what these programs are intended for or even how to properly use them.

keep in mind half of these people do not even know how to operate a scanner.

Which is sad because the majority of scanners have a big button that says "scan" on it...

They need that, a game with all the peices so you can just make anything lego on the computer just cause you're bored.

I play lego Batman and Starwars on DS now, its the best
