if you guys want to come to miami, there are awesome fireworks at the biltmore (hotel where al capone lived, was a war hospital during WW1, burned to the ground, was the scene of various shootout/hideouts/lots of awesome history), fireworks + rad party at bayfront park in downtown miami, fireworks in coconut grove, fireworks + party on ocean drive in south beach. there is lots more just cant remember now.
I think that hairy skull dude is having a party. It sucks because I'm conflicted between like 3 parties so I'm gonna have to party hop but I'll probably stay at SWH the longest.
I was in California a couple of years ago on the 4th of July sat in some hot tub at some giant party where everyone was dressed in stars & stripes shirts and having a barbeque... it was awkward to say the least celebrating America's Independence from us Brits with a bunch of uber-patriots, but saying that there were a few American folk there who cringed a bit when the accompanying radio broadcast signed off with "..and that's why America, is the envy of the world". I enjoyed it though. Free Budweiser and hot dogs!
I wish we had some kind of celebratory day (no-one really celebrates St. George's Day here) but I guess that's the problem with the fact that we used to run the world before you guys did.. everyone else gets a party after we 'let' them be independent.. we get nothing!
