What should I do? (Printer Problems)

posted 4 months ago by Jon Kruse

Some of you already know about my problems getting my Shark Week Shirt printed but for those that don’t go here http://emptees.com/posts/2921-printing-problem-solved

I e-mailed them and they replied with this

"With regard to your unhappiness with the final print there’s a number of ways we can resolve this. I can do a reprint on the order entirely and you can send back the product you currently have now, or I can give these to you at cost and you can keep all of them.

Let me know how you’re wanting to proceed and we’ll make this as easy as possible."

I shipped everything back to them and they recieved the shirts over a month ago. They don’t respond to my emails or phone calls.

The thing is they have an account on emptees. They print shirts for a lot of companies here. I didn’t want to release the name of the company and I thought everything was going to get taken care of, but after they have repeatedly not responded to me I’m thinking that’s the only thing I can do to get anything done.

What should I do?

I say we schedule a manticore attack tonight and flood their myspace/email/snail mail/fax etc. with photo renderings of them taking it in the ass. Also maybe some threatening words.

we should organize like a gay porn off. Like the tee off only with gay pics of the next person we feel deserves the harassment.

Where’s the other voice. The one were they say "Jon, this shouldn’t be handled through the manticores, they will just call the guy a dick nose and nothing will be accomplished. You will still be down a wad of cash."

okay, in all seriousness, manticoring this situation would look extremely unprofessional on your part and like you said, not solve your problem

... but i still don’t know what you should do.

I looked more into the better business bureau, looks promising. I don’t think they use dick noses to get the job done.

Yeah, I’d suggest BBB too. They don’t answer their phone? They should answer eventually. If being a pest doesn’t work (calling multiple times per day, every day), hopefully the BBB will. Sucks that you’re having such bad printer issues, I’ve been there too. If you don’t mind, could you email me privately the name of the company? I won’t publicize it.

Yeah, or at least wait until you hear back with some certainty or uncertainty on their part

I would say don’t go the "Dick-nose" route quite yet. A month is really way too long to wait for a replacement. But before you start busting balls..

What is the normal turnaround time for the company that you’re using? If it is 2-3 weeks I’d say give them one last chance to get a hold of you. Especially since they know they aren’t making any money reprinting yours they have probably put yours on the back burner.

If that doesn’t work, go for the balls cause that’s straight bullshit. Don’t let them worm their way out of the situation.. sometimes it’s ok to be unprofessional - especially with a company you’ll never be working with again.

I hope you get this solved soon because I really want to buy one!

yeah being professional is all well and good, but when they start dicking you around well thats when their professionalism should be severely questioned as well. I mean if they promised you that they would do it, then they should stick to their promise, by not responding to you it is showing that they themselves are horribly unprofessional.

But i think that before you unleash manticore hell on their ass, you get in contact with the BBB and go that route first. I’m sure they did put you on the backburner which isnt right either.

Definatly take legal action, it’s theft on their part, i don’t know what they are registered as business wise, nor do i know the different types of american businesses but they should be liable for all debt, unless they declare themselves bankrupt. (only in certain situations.)

    +1

    i would attempt

    1. verbal
    2. certified paper communication
    3. another verbal

then if they dont do anything, threaten more dire consequences.

emptees i believe has 30-40k visitors, i forget every day or every week... im sure manticores could keep a dont do business with X post up on top for a duration of a week.

although i would love to see them being bombarded with dicknose post it notes. that would be rad.

there’s a million little things that could have delayed the reprint (shirts on backorder, miscommunication, etc...I’m trying to give them the last shred of benefit of the doubt), but they should at least be in touch. That’s bullshit.

Do they not have a phone number? It’s hard to ignore a phone.

Have you tried calling with a freinds phone or something like that so that they don’t recongnize you number. If they’re screening your calls, that should get you around the wall.

  34. Perudoesitbetter - Alan avatar

    Perudoesitbetter said 4 months ago

Yeah didnt someone say something about sending certified mail. I know that they dont have to respond to your calls, but they do have to when its certified mail?

Yet it’s pretty bad that you have to go that route though.

a certified letter isnt a bad start, but contacting the BBB doesnt really do much unless they are a member and a ton of businesses arent.

i would call, leave a message saying, look, at this point id really just like to get my money back and be done with the order. a lot of people have been asking me the name of the company that has been giving me the runaround and i havent been telling them to give you the benefit of doubt. resolving my specific order seems easier than losing future potential clients.

If all else fails, the company has a debt to you, and therefore you could look up a debt collector in their area, and you’d have no expenses to pay, the collector takes extra money off them to cover their fees, its scary for them, but they need a kick up the ass if they are really this bad.

I’ve had a similar issue with ****** apparel, not delivering a shirt within 4 weeks when international delivery takes 10days maximum. I’ve contacted paypal to get my money back, which you could do depending on your payment type. They WERE too, ignoring my emails. (i have edited it, as this seems to be resolving now!)

They are part of the BBB. I’ll give them another call and another email before I contact the BBB.

I keep on talking myself into giving them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve tried using a different email address and left a couple messages and their answering machine.

A side note:: Working for a company that shipped international. sometimes that crap gets stuck in customs and it can take up to a month to get out of. I have expirenced this personally buying Advantage for my cat!

Just warning you for the future
