You know what sucks...

When someone owes you a really small amount of money and takes forever to pay.

I did work for this KID. He needed some show posters done quick for shows he had coming up soon. I put together some pretty cool posters (given the time frame), he dug it, printed them whatever.

This was in NOVEMBER! Now it is almost July and dude is still flaking on me. He hardly answer emails, calls, or IMS and when he does it’s to say "you’ll get paid when I get paid by {label name here}."

Yeah whatever maybe money is tight, but dude couldn’t manage to put together this SMALL sum over a period of nearly 9 months?

Sucks because he seems like a good kid with a bright future in the "biz", but he needs to get his act together. I know several people that have been interested in him, but when they ask me, I gotta give a bad recommendation. Bummer.

Annnnd that’s my rant for the week.

   I know what you mean. It’s happened to me a few times. The part I hate the most is when I have to keep pestering my contact at the company, even though they have nothing to do with paying me. Small amount of money or not, it’s money that I’m owed so I do what needs done in order to collect. Sometimes things just fall through the cracks though.

   i doubt it’s worth that kind of trouble... americans sure love to sue people.

   i’d just keep on his ass. do you ever see him in person? maybe make it a little more straight forward in person, if you do see him that is

   Yeah I know what you mean, man. I always feel bad bugging the wrong person, but it’s all you can do sometimes.

   In this case, it’s just one guy. And I agree about the money thing. I don’t even care about the money at this point, it’s just that I did him a favor (more than halfed my price) and should get my end of the deal.
