bristol or regular?

for you illustrators out there, what do you guys find best for your linework?
i personally use bristol board,
because it holds ink well, and the pen glides across it smoothly.

GO!

I use cheap typing paper, or whatever I have laying around.
I use watercolor paper for the real stuff, but with all the drama today who the fuck cares.

regular, until I get a real handle on doing nice line work I would like to avoid spending money on anything special

I use bristol, its the only thing that can the ink well. But i use a quill and brush not a pen, for that kinda stuff I just use drawing paper.

I use Mead sketchbook paper for now just because it works well enough, but no doubt bristol board is the best thing I’ve used, it just costs too much for me to be buying at the moment : p

I use bristol vellum. I ink with a quill, but usually re-ink in illustrator anyway.

canson bristol ftw. i notice that there seems to be a slight difference in the vellum and the smooth. i never know which one it is, but sometimes my lines get jacked up after erasing the pencils.

and i just use a kneaded eraser, nothing harsh. weirrrd

i love just ballpoint pens and a college ruled notebook for messing around
