Quick Question..

posted 5 months ago by ryanmiller

I’m about to buy a Intuos 3 9x12 Wacom, but I use a MacBook; I don’t have a big monitor at all. Would I be better off getting a smaller Wacom, or does it not make a difference? All the reviews on the 9x12 say it’s perfect for big or dual monitors.. What would you recommend for use with a MacBook? Thanks!

I don’t think it’s so much about the monitor, personally. It’s about how you draw. Do you generally draw huge sweeping lines? I don’t usually make lines much longer than the movement of my wrist allows. I’ve never needed a really huge area on my tablet to work with.

I don’t think you’d kick yourself for having a nice big tablet though. I wish mine was bigger sometimes.

i use a 6x8 with a macbook, it’s been working out fine, but i work zoomed in close and use short strokes [that’s what she said] so it really depends on how you draw.
