shit. that war all the time artwork is sooooo awesome.
One of my favs, Rage Against The Machine. One of the only album covers that will forever be stuck in my mind. Up until about a year ago I wasnt even aware of the story behind it.
yeah, mike bukowski. hes one of my favorite artists out there. he does some amazing zombie illustrations. i like that four year strong album cover so much that i made my aim sn after it (wizardonasquid) haha.

dude ive been thinking since ive joined this site why mike isnt on here...last chance illustrations is so sick
HOLY FUCK!!! dave, do you actually own this record?! i have 2 copies. the whole record was like super lame new romantic era bullshit, but the last song "food fight" is one of the most bad ass punk songs of all time. sounds ridiculous i know, but seriously, there are gang choruses, screaming, and turbo drum fills.
you may have just posted this as a joke, but dude, that shit rips!

is that a serious SWH endorsement of the village people album?
i might have to hunt this down.
Even though Ive seen these a million times, they keep getting better. Not that Id expect those of you who listen to shitty indie rock to know who half of these artists even are...
yeah unfortunately nothing nowadays will be revered as legendary in 30 years. And thats the truth. Id love to be proven wrong.. but... aint gon' happen kiddies!
Step outside of your world of bands with names that are stupid prepositional phrases for a second and think of what the last groundbreaking great band was that contained legendary instrumentalists and legendary songwriting.... thats right, there hasnt been one since the 90's.

wouldnt we have to wait 30 years to prove you wrong?
nope.. because within a few years of coltrane or the beatles or stones arriving, or even nirvana, it was obvious they were huge and represented a pivotal point in history.
Nobodys making that kind of splash nowadays. I mean, I wish they were, but theyre just not.

such a negative nancy, i own both the top two and like grant green to as well as owning a ton of other blue note records. used to be a jazz major. im a huge fan of all the old blue note album cover, juju, blue trane, all of hank mobleys.
so many amazing albums, Lenjer does some amazing work, and I have to mention the Converge artwork, I didnt know so many people loved it as much as I did.
I hate this shitty band, But Drew Struzan is on of the greatest Illustrators of our time. (God only knows why he agreed to do this cover... I gues its b/c there were no good movies being made at that time to draw posters for....)
Again, the band is alright, but the Illys in this album are SUPER badass!
