    there was these guys called the cold war kids

    they did the artist in the ambulance
    war all the time
    and rufio 1985 artwork

    and i cant find anything much else by these guys if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

    One of my favs, Rage Against The Machine. One of the only album covers that will forever be stuck in my mind. Up until about a year ago I wasn’t even aware of the story behind it.

    I love the comeback kid album art so much I did two paintings of my version of it. I’ll post pictures of them sometime

    and the special addition shot by dave hill was killer

    yup, i got those too. you didn’t get the sticker pack and the little plastic animal?

    Step outside of your world of bands with names that are stupid prepositional phrases for a second and think of what the last groundbreaking great band was that contained legendary instrumentalists and legendary songwriting.... that’s right, there hasn’t been one since the 90's.

    nope.. because within a few years of coltrane or the beatles or stones arriving, or even nirvana, it was obvious they were huge and represented a pivotal point in history.

    such a negative nancy, i own both the top two and like grant green to as well as owning a ton of other blue note records. used to be a jazz major. im a huge fan of all the old blue note album cover, juju, blue trane, all of hank mobleys.

    I hate this shitty band, But Drew Struzan is on of the greatest Illustrators of our time. (God only knows why he agreed to do this cover... I gues it’s b/c there were no good movies being made at that time to draw posters for....)
