So, one of my biggest mistakes starting Labyrinth was that I didnt want to tie myself down to a logo (which is pretty dumb). Then I kept pushing it back more and more. But for the past few months Ive been trying to think of ideas and Ive toyed around with a few that didnt turn out too well.
but anyway... can you guys please tell me what you think of this for a stand alone logo?

I like the labyrinth in the back but I would lose the stripes around it. Also maybe try using a different a font. Either way, I think it has a lot of potential.

Like NorthLane said, lose the stripes. Also, take it into Illustrator, and select the pathfinder tool, and with both the labryrinth and the L selected, hit the divide button. It will give you a very cool but not crazy obvious L that takes a second to realize that its there.

To do this, take the L and the labryinth into Photoshop, and place each on a seperate layer. Then with the L on the top layer, click in the middle of both layers while holding down the ALT button. Itll mask it, and the maze will be inside of the L.
* Or it could be CTRL, it either ALT or CTRL, either one...*

i think i like the first and second ones the best. the Serif is too rigid and serious for what I'm going for... the Sans serif Helvetica L looks ok, but i feel like its too plain or something. Im not sure.

the serif & sans serif are the only ones that get across the labyrinth thing inside of the letter - the hand drawn one just kind of looks like some crazy stripes, maybe if it was a bit bigger and bolder it would work better. I like 1 & 2 as well but I'm just not crazy about that hand drawn L. I know that style you use for most of your hand drawn text, and it works well when it's actual words and phrases, but it's not working for me with the solitary L.
PS I don't remember if you're in north or south jersey - how far from philly are you?

thanks Jayna, Im central Jersey suckaaa... so around 45 minutes or so away from philly.
and Yeah im not very sold on the labyrinth inside the L idea, i feel like every way i do it, the maze looks sorta fucked up. I worked on some more sans serifs inside the labyrinth that im starting to like... but im going to try to go for the bold hand drawn L and see if that works...

haha yeah, That was my main idea when I started to think of logos... I tried it several times and failed miserably... Im not sure, I am really starting to like the thicker cursive L cut out of the maze though. but i do still like the custom maze idea. ahhh!

I like the last rendition but why don't you make it look more like a Labyrinth within the "L" rather than just some random lines or like what you did in previous rendition of just placing a prexisting labyrinth inside of it. Make it more of a custom created labyrinth within the "L".

You should remake that L, and make it into a small labyrinth, not too detailed but bold.

Sketch it out more and more on paper, mind map, etc. You own it, so develop the image according to your needs

I like the first much more. I think the underlaying design puts a lot of weight really subtracting from the L. Have you tried enlarging the L so it doesn't really FIT in the circle but spreads outwards.
