Newman, your comment here reminded me of something. In Pacific City, Oregon (its on the coast, a little south of Tillamook), there is a restaurant called Grateful Bread. Have you ever been there? They make really amazing marionberry rhubarb pie.

yes there pie is delightful. I also like to stop by the factory and watch cheese being made, if anyone has not see this process it is a must.

Im glad youve shared in the ecstatic enjoyment of their pie. I havent gone to the cheese factory yet, but I want to. Did you go to Tillamook or Blue Heron? I went to the vacuum museum a couple weeks ago and was pretty disappointed that it wasnt more museum-like.

Tillamook, they have free samples and a gift shop, its awesome. The icecream kicks ass too (I almost tried to be clever and say licks ass but that would have been a mistake)

That would be... yeah. Tillamook is so huge now, though. They sell their cheese all over! Dont you think theyve lost some of their original indie appeal by selling to Safeway instead of select local retailers?

Im all for local as well! But local in the sense of 'near where I am right now' and not 'near where Im from'. What I said above was kind of tongue-in-cheek, though. Even so, they make good cheese!
