I know alot of stuff has already been mentioned about some of emptee's model citizens. But I think we should do more then pat them on the back. We should learn from them; growing our character and evolving way we think. As humans we all have our failings and character flaws, but that doesn't mean we can't have role models especially of the designer breed. I know this may sound like a big suck-up... but its not necessarily about the status of the designer or recognizing someone who is a popular name and placing them on a soapbox. I will work harder to continue to hopefully stay in good light. In my mind, everyone here can be great, (not saying that I am...) Everyone has the ability to practice, and get great/awesome at whatever they want. I used to hang with some peeps over at eatpoo.com, and there were some that were just beginning, and you wouldnt believe the progress they attained. One person who used to compliment and 'look up to me' I suppose, surpassed me in skill and understanding within two years. He was/is a hard worker. And really, thats all it takes. Persistence and an unwillingness to give up. I am certain that those who stick around here, and keep posting and pumping out work, will be the industry leaders in design, business, etc etc. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever make it, mainly because the definition of success is always a rising escalator, but I have faith that most of you will, if you continue.
