So I can't really complain because my MBP has been extremely good to me...
But as of late, I had to buy a new battery in the past year and power adapter. NOW, when the adapter isn't plugged in, the battery life drops drastically from 100% - 0% in 20 to 30mins. It's quite ridiculous, so thats another fortune I'll spend fixing it because I didn't buy Apple Care.
This is more or less a vent than anything else. If you've had similar experiences and need a soap box, this is your post.

no problems at all with mine..sounds like you need the whole thing serviced if you just replaced it and the power supply.

yeah, i've set up an appointment at the "genius bar". let's see what they have to say about it and how much skrilllll i'll be dumping on this.

the genius bar is usually really cool..they replaced my iphone for me a couple months ago when my screen started messing up.

Yeah, I've been serviced by them before. They do a good job and really take care of you. I'm moreover concerned about how much of a dent this will leave in the wallet.

dude, don't go in there and have a wimpy attitude. be very direct with them, they have had multiple class action law suits against them because of their batteries and chargers.
the LEAST they will do is give you a new battery/charger.
but if you stand your ground and are firm they may give you a new computer. applecare doesn't mean shit. i have had so many friends get new computers/ipods years after they purchased them and NONE of them ever had applecare.
Be a dick, and they will treat you better!

I had the exact same problem but it was replaced free of charge cuz of Apple care... its totally worth it, next time of course... sorry to hear about the bs

yeah my battery on my powerbook gets insanely hot and has no life if its unplugged...i need to get on that.
same thing happened to my friend and he chewed them out until they gave him a new computer. like SWH said, just be a huge cunt and they'll give in eventually.

i got to agree, out of the problems i've had with apple products, when i had gone in there trying to be nice, though pissed about malfunction, they seem to have a bad attitude about it. On the other hand times that i have showed a stronger attitude, they will work to make you happy.
My most recent, my MBP had a slight de-coloration streak, it was minimal, no dead pixels or anything, and everything worked fine, but i paid for that thing to be perfect and i wasnt getting it. I went in told them about the upset and they are now going to replace my screen.
Stand Strong works best.

tell them that you leave it on at your house and it almost burns down your house, that it's a fire hazard and it burned you once real bad. all sorts of shit.
