<body>I wish I could download enough to watch the whole thing, but I think it's going to be a big deal.

I mean, as an end user it's not that big. Email is fine for me as far as that goes, but from the perspective of someone that has to deal with projects using up to 4 or 5 freelancers and a client at the same time.. It would be a godsend.

It would basically replace our basecamp/im/chat network we're having to set up now.</body>

<body>holy crap is has live typing just like an IM App but better.

Most IM apps it just says "blank is typing" for two minutes, then you see the message. This shows character by character what the other person is saying in real time.

And this is in a web app using some kind of email protocol I believe.

I love Google, I don't even care that they knew everything about me.

*Edit* Plus this is open source and free. Base Camp better step their game up with tons of features to justify people purchasing their product instead of using an open source solution like Google Wave. If Wave turns out as good as they say it will. I am still watching the video, only 20 minutes in.</body>

Plus it's going to take some time to get used to chating like that in e-mail, I can just emagine a inbox full of book long emails, I hate it already, don't send me a wave or I will hit you.

no, they use an "invitation request" system, from what I understand. So the user requests an invite to be sent out, and then Google reviews it. some people get their invites, some don't, but either way, they usually take a few days to come in.

whenever I get some invites, I'd be willing to trade them away for a what.cd or waffles.fm account, or whatever else anyone wants to give out, haha.</body>

<body>It seems like it will be much more fun/useful when everyone is allowed to have it. It was actually really useful to have the other day for a discussion between three people. There's definitely some great features including a playback feature which might be convenient if there's a lengthy wave and a new person is invited into the conversation (since you can make edits to people's comments besides your own). Right now it feels like Wave is geared more towards business groups and web geeks, but I can see it becoming a good social networking tool too.

It's weird because if you're on there at the same time as your buddies, you can see them typing in real time. That means they can see all the mistakes I make (including Freudian slips!) as I'm typing :-/</body>

<body>I've been playing around with it, I got an invite. It's simply awesome. It's like a to-do list, collaboration center, e-mail, wiki, all in one.

Simply amazing.

The only thing bad is that you will have to invite people to Google Wave for them to start using it, it's not going to be quite as easy to get computer illiterate clients to start using it right away.</body>
