i think its a nicely executed piece, but to me it screams pink floyd. That artwork is just way too recognizable for people not to make an association. Im not saying its a rip, i get the prism idea, but it may be asking a lot for people to see this from a fresh perspective. Thats just me though, looks like you have plenty of people pulling for the design. Personally i wouldnt want to explain to people that its just a prism when they ask why i wearing a pink floyd shirt.

ok go on dbh and look at the designs that only have a couple of votes, and see if theres anyone hating on their design. not a single one. Thats because no ones jealous of their puny illy and they dont wish they had their abilities(or lack of). Those haters are probably the people that admire you the most. ironic.

and the comic shop in town is called four color fantasies, and has a prism with the CMYK coming out of it. I don't like Pink Floyd enough to always make that association when i see it.

yeah this one bothers me. whether you like it or not, you've designed a pink floyd shirt. it isn't just something they've used, it's their most recognizable image and the only thing you've really done different is add texture.
some things are just spoken for, this is clearly one of them. i'd guess that well over 90% of people seeing this shirt in public would immediately dismiss it as a PF shirt and not give it a second glance.

I'm ok that people see floyd because that was part of the intention. A new take on an iconic piece.
Not talking shit or anything but I don't think you're being consistent with what you're saying. I know you did something more to it by adding a dick but isn't that your intention with the Rolling Stones icon? I'd say it's pretty much 'spoken for' too but you reinterpreted it and came up with a funny take on a old piece. I know you said i just added textures, but I don't really see the difference with what I'm trying to do with what you're trying to do.
I still think I did something to a classic that makes it fresh and new. Just my thoughts. I'd like to hear more of what you guys think.
