Maybe its just me, but Twitter has actually made me work harder. Its a lot more feedback friendly than a blog because, unless you have detailed analytics on your site, you dont really know how many people are keeping tabs on you or who they are. But with Twitter, you can visibly see how many followers you have, and some of those followers, at least for me, tend to be people I look up to in the industry or admire.
When you have people whom you respect and whose opinion you value over your shoulder, you tend to put your best foot forward, and that makes you more productive as an artist and business owner.
How bout you? Any benefits of Twitter so far?

i think unlike facebook and every other internet fad/trend, twitter is actually useful and helpful at the same time. its almost like a quick journal entry that everyone can see without drama/photos/biographies/layouts.
however, it urks me when kids come up to me now and act all cool and say "yo do you have twitter? follow me dude". when i told people about it earlier, they were "wow that is really gay".

Haha, yea I agree. I started my account and subscribed to people whom I admire, or companies that I look up to, and I left it at that, I didnt feel the need to blast at everyone and demand to be followed. Which makes it that much more meaningful when people do follow, because I havent asked them, so they must be genuinely interested in what I have to offer on my account. Which is worth signing up for Twitter just for that.

exactly. and what i especially like is that people who cause drama and just start shit are eventually and quickly kicked off twitter. a couple kids tried to start shit on twitter, which is horribly useless in the first place, but their accounts got deleted. i enjoyed a nice little laugh.
and yeah i agree, i only follow those who have meaningful updates.

"follow me follow me yo!"

"haha, i wouldn't follow you if twitter was a conga line"

I use both Twitter and Facebook and I post stuff to both of them but I must say I think facebook is much more personal and I do read the stuff other people post on Facebook. To be honest I never ever read the stuff other people post on twitter, anyway if you want me not to read your posts add me here: Twitter, if you want me to read your stuff add me here: Facebook
