Even more mature than American Idiot. You can really hear Butch Vigs' influence too. On some songs the drums remind me of a young Dave Grohl on Nevermind. Basically if you liked the last album, you'll like this one. I was able to see them live last night at Webster Hall in NYC. It was a "semi-secret" club show for MySpace ( got my tickets through Ticketmaster/Satan though). They were un-fucking-believable in such a small setting. Played the shit out of the new album, then came on for a second set and took requests. They dusted off "80" and "At the Library" from their pre-Dookie days and played a cover of "Surrender".
