I’ve got a few eMusic credits left for the month, so I need some recommendations. I’m on the 100 credits / month plan and have used them all for 6 months.
Here’s the type of music I’m into, and for my recommendation to you… I’d suggest checking out Mono if you haven’t before.

Glad to see Mono and Explosions in the Sky on your page (amongst other things) – I caught them live at a club in Kyoto a few years back (EITS opened for Mono) and it was amazing.
I’d suggest Bonde Do Role, who are a fun Brazilian funk/rap/electronic act, though they might not be up your alley.
mitchbones said 10 months ago
I’m just going to spit some out that I think you may like.
Its mostly hardcore/metal unless stated otherwise.

I quickly scrolled though your list, so if I name something you already have, my bad. Here’s what I’ve been listening to recently:
Heavier stuff: NEW Every Time I Die, NEW Baroness, Ed Gein, Stray From the Path
Lighter stuff: So Many Dynamos, The Red Neck Manifesto, Portugal. The Man

Thanks everybody… I’m going through the list now.
@DCAY, I always meant to check out Ed Gein, and now that I have I’m totally into them. They even toured w/ my friends in Gaza. Too bad eMusic only has their older album it looks like.
{miles to go} said 10 months ago
somanydynamos are good, i havent heard them in a while. if you dig mono, do you listen to tristeza? originally it was some dudes from the locust and jimmy who went on to do album leaf, but its all instrumental and real good. check spine and sensory

the new dillinger is pretty good too.
DCAY said 10 months ago
I thought Gein would be up your alley bro, and I didn’t see it in your list. I saw that tour with GAZA and had not checked them out (GAZA) til that show. They put on an excellent performance! You need to get the last Ed Gein album though.
