Just Curious to Know if anyone shoots their own stuff...

posted 7 months ago by drannek

So I had my first photo shoot about two weeks ago, and my first BIG one will be April 5. Going for a grimy, old, sleezy motel feel with neon light shadows and all.
Wondering if anyone else shoots their own stuff and what kind of camera/lighting you use.

I normally shoot myself or have one of my buddies help me out. I use a Nikon D50 and do a lot of outdoor shoots so I use natural lighting most the time.

I’m much more into photography than I am graphic design (my gallery on flickr.), I’d love to shoot some portraits but I don’t have a tripod or a light setup (I do have a fairly good flash though...).

Yea Im getting more and more into photography, my good friend Michael Antonio Hunter has shot a few celebs and hes pretty good.
I am inspired by Mike Ruiz, and David LaChapelle to name a few.

I’ve heard of Michael Antonio before. From what I’ve seen and heard, he does some great work!

We’re pretty DIY. We use friends and people from our university to model for us, and have been lucky to have talented photographer friends offer their help to us. I’ve shot a lot of our stuff on my own with an old 1.3MP camera though.
