<body>I'm interested to know this too. Thanks for making this post. I'm specifically curious as to who of you are living solely off of your stores... Not to hijack. (I always do this... sorry... :/ )</body>

Don't be fooled - I still work a day job. I hope to go full time with LF by 09, but that may be a pipe dream. I printed my first tee in February of 06, though. I took preorders before getting it printed so I could judge my market, then used that money to print a bunch of extras (and threw in another few hundred from my pocket). The momentum from that plus my own investment money funded a print every few months. But this year I'm finally able to print every month.

Still not quite in that "highly successful" bracket though. But I do appreciate it. :)</body>

<body>I live solely off of HORSEBITES but that's from doing illustration and design work. There's no way I could live off of just my store, yet (hopefully). I haven't had my store for long at all. I think I opened it in August '07? Ha, I can't even remember. Short time though. But it is nice to live off of just doing design, I'm super grateful for that.</body>

<body>I'm almost there! once I pay off some old debts and kick things up a bit, I'll be able to live off of just SEIBEI, but I'll probably keep my printing job for awhile.

Also, I like how a lot of people assume I have multiple people working for me - I think that's because I use "we" sometimes when I refer to myself as a business entity/company. </body>

Dude, I'm so happy for you! I've followed Seibei for a couple years now (found you on funkyduds) and it's super inspirational to know you're so close to living off of it! Will the printing job be a safety net or a means to get your shirts made cheap?</body>

<body>well, by close I mean within a year, but since I've been doing this since 2005 that's close enough for me. thanks Eric!

Still, we'll see. The printing job keeps my production costs down, and it's good to have steady income, aaaaand I really like my job. </body>

Yeah I envy your knowledgableness regarding shirt printing. It's a major advantage to have that at your disposal! I really hope you make it out to ICE, it'd be sweet (though intimidating) to be showing at the same event!</body>
