SCAD Atlanta

So I got accepted to SCAD and since I love big cities..and downtown areas of said cities...Atlanta was my obvious choice...that and most all of the people I design for are in Atlanta so I could bring in a ton more local work.... My question is.. Has anybody on here gone to the Atlanta campus?? I know a few graduated/went/go to the Savannah campus but I have never seen the Atlanta one mentioned. I was in Atlanta last year and looked at some SCAD buildings just for the hell of it. They seem nice, but I can't say I know much of their program. I will, however, say that Atlanta is an awesome city if you stay in the right places. If you like sports this is your place: MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL teams... Go and visit! That's the best way to get a feel for the school you want to go to! 16643

I goto the Savannah campus myself. Seen a few of the atlanta buildings but other than that, the programs are about the same. Congrats on getting accepted man! If you aren't satisfied with Atlanta, hop on over to Savannah cause this place is gorgeous. 16643

Welcome to the Atlanta area G-rant...here are some places i enjoy: R. Thomas - 24/7 Vegan joint..great food if you are into that...right down south from SCAD. Cafe Innermezzo - good coffee/desert place for the taking the ladies. I dont know what your taste in music is, but for that there is The Masquerade, The Drunken Unicorn/MJQ, The Vinyl...theres always The Fox too which is a neat venue but so-so on shows. Little 5 points is also a neat place for shops and restaurants/bars.. That probably isn't the best list but that's what i have explored during my time living here :) 16643

The campus is fucking beautiful in Atlanta... I can't see myself out of New England though, but I got into SCAD, as well Cornell, NYU, Northwestern, and Johns Hopkins... I'm probably going to Cornell for architecture though. (Yeah, sorta a weird arrangement of schools, haha) 16643

stay away from the area around the airport. College park is ridiculous at night. I saw a guy get stabbed on the MARTA last time I was in Atlanta. but we also went to magic city and i blew alot of money there. so you have to take the good with the bad i suppose 16643
